whoa what happen to my poll. ah well. good choice though.
|
"The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase, hands down.
He had it all: the charisma, the gimmick, the ability, the skill, and more importantly,he was a wrestler. Thanks to political maneuvering by a "legend" (in his own mind),he never got that chance.... |
Owen Hart

who will be the first dick to say RVD?

<s>RVD</s> Chris Benoit and Owen Hart</font> |
Million Dollar Man, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, Jake Roberts, Curt Henning, Ricky Steamboat (probably was an NWA champ or somthing, but I never got that so I dunno) are the obvious ones.
I would say a lotta current guys, but should probably give em a few more years, and they will be champs. |

and then tell me where it says wwe |
Definately Mr. Perfect as that is why I consider him the greatest I.C. Champion of all-time. If there ever was an individual that defined the I.C. division, it would be him because he never held the World Title. If not for HOGAN being in the WWF, who knows, he might have won the darn thing.

Summerslam 91 what a ****ing match |
I pretty much agree with what has been stated above, but I'll throw in the Dynamite Kid, Brian Pillman, and Tully Blanchard as a few other greats who never held the World Title.
|
I would have to say, MENG (a.k.a. Haku). He ALMOST won the damned thing against GOLDBERG on WCW NITRO, he even locked in the DOUBLE GOOZLE. But the referee sort of "forgot" to count to 3 or whatever. Meng started celebrating his victory, then got speared, etc. Sigh...those were the days...

despite the fact that Sabu and Chris Candido have held that title, it's still the most prestigious belt ever). He also had 2 short stints w/ the US Title; 2 short runs with with the Television Title and 2 NICE Tag Title runs with Dustin Rhodes & Shane Douglas (in addition to being a 4-time NWA Tag Team Champion and a WWF IC Champion). I don't think he really needed a belt to be over (just like some of the other greats),but a little longer run would have been nice for his career.... I think Jake never got the shot because he didn't fit WWF's "mold" for a typical champion (not to mention backstage politics and the "personal demons" he battled). Bulldog I think would have made a fine WCW Champion while he spent some time there in the earlier 1990's; he had some GREAT matches with Sting,Vader,Sid,Harlem Heat and Dustin Rhodes (among others). Owen Hart (May He Rest In Peace),if he would have lived would have held the World Title @ some point.I think instead of smaller runs,Owen should've had a longer run with the IC Title. He could have done so much more for that title.Owen was a wrestler's wr- restler,as was Bret Hart, and was amazing to watch in the ring... Curt Hennig (yes,Hennig) was another guy who had some good runs (WWF IC titles,WCW US Title,AWA Tag Titles, and was a fi- ne AWA Champion (I'm sure he's held other belts, but those are the ones I can remember right now - besides his short run with the WCW Tags in late 90's). Ted DiBiase is still the man :( |

It's a tie for me between Ted DiBiase and Owen Hart. In the end I'm tempted to say DiBiase, mostly because I think that if Owen hadn't died he'd have gotten it eventually. |
I think if hall got over his problems he was world champion material. i mean, there have worse. Diesel, Pyscho Sid, HHH, many others.

I remember his match with Goldberg. It was a kind of lumberjack match. Meng had nWo black and Goldberg had the Wolfpac. I remember when Meng got the death grip on Berg, but I think Meng got him down and just went away to deal with the lumberjacks or something. Cant quite remember exactly. Anyway Berg ended up winning. I was glad :o |

i think without shadow of a doubt RVD(HE SUCKS)and he didnt want to come back to the wwe b/c he contract ran out and he was not going to sign another one but the wwe offered him a very big money sum to come back and so he did

Pillman vs. Austin would've been amaaaaaaaaaazing Benoit (can't count WCW champ as the only reason he won it was because it was a last ditch effort by WCW to keep him there) |

To even put Nathan Jones' name in the same category with guys like Owen Hart,Ted DiBiase and Curt Hennig is an insult to wrestling, and to those 3 men, respectively. |
In no particular order
Ric Rude Curt Hennig Ted Debiase HHH :shifty: And probably not as deserving as the rest but still unlucky Arn Anderson ( i think he never won the big one) Tully Blanchard Scott Hall I know some will argue with me about Hall but if you consider how long he spent at the top and some of the crappy champions they had both in WCW and the WWF such as Sid and a various assortment of others he was extremely unlucky in never snagging the big one even as a transition champion. |
