"Best Dropkick in Professional Wrestling"
 

Back in the 70s/80s and before I understand that the drop kick was kind of a "special" move that was worth the hype, but since then it's become a staple in the sense that "yeah, he does a dropkick, everyone does". But you will still hear JR, for example, bring it up when putting someone over. "He does one of the best drop kicks in wrestling!" For example, Randy Orton.

So yeah, discuss the Dropkick in here and post videos of dropkicks.

Orton and Mr. Perfect had great dropkicks. Always been a fan of the dropkick to the knee.

JR used to say Hardcore Holly had the best dropkick in the business every time he called a Hardcore Holly match.

That he did Thed. Towards the end for Holly his "best in the business" drop kick was just awful. I remember seeing him give a drop kick and he only got up to his opponents waist. Horrible, yet pretty damn funny.

About 1:53 JR starts putting over Holly's dropkick and then about twenty seconds later Cody does one and it's "Hardcore Holly-like."

I don't want to start another thread, so I'm just going to ask in here. What about the moonsault? Who has the best moonsault in wrestling?

I also found Kurt Angle to have the most visually stunning moonsault, at least in the WWE. Some TNA or ROH guys probably have some crazy ones. Brian Kendrick and Paul London are two others that have really nice moonsaults

Best Moonsault...3 come to mind for me. Christopher Daniels, Essa Rios and Kota Ibushi.

You could say Kota's is not really a pure moonsault, but I still think it looks pretty damn cool.

When it comes to the best dropkick going right now, AJ wins hands down. His is a thing of beauty.

I think Orton's contests it if for no other reason than his body type.

Maven was the first that came to mind too. When he first started out it was pretty much the only thing they could praise him on. His dropkick and his "great vertical leaping ability"

That's fair for Maven. But when you're a veteran like Hardcore Holly and they're praising you on your dropkick, something isn't right. You damn well better have learned how to perform a dropkick in your 14 years in the business.

Maven... That's a name I haven't heard in awhile... I loved HH's & orton as well... But I gotta go with Styles...

On the same topic as Show's drop kick, I recall Kane doing them every so often. It's nothing compared to a Hurrikanerana:

Maven's dropkick would get kick the ass of sparkplug Holly's dropkick.

Pillman had the best dropkick,in WCW in the early 1990's.

I went to a Raw in December of 99, while he was champion, and he won his match with a missle dropkick off the top rope.
