WWE TV Network
For those who have not heard about this, the word going around is that the WWE is looking to launch its new TV network in about a year and a half. They want to air original non-wrestling programs along with their own features, and some of the names suggested include the WWE Network, WWE S & E (for Sports Entertainment), WWE 365, WWE TV, and WWE 24/7/365.
What do you think would make this network successful? Any ideas? Maybe Muraco and Fuji should do stand-up comedy? <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/teU_ay7PWNk&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/teU_ay7PWNk&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> |
Model the formula after the New York Yankees Network. They do it right.

Thunder in Paradise marathons!

Suburban Commando should play at least twice a day.
|
Mr. Nanny should be played in blocks, like infomercials.

I really think this is a bad idea...... really bad

If they're not going to have wrestling matches (which they probably won't, because of DVD sales) then I'm not likely to tune in often.
They should at least show old episodes of Raw and Nitro, but even that probably won't happen because there's money to be made off of the on demand subscription service. This will probably be 24 hours of PPV preshow, and re-runs of Confidential, etc. |
it's pretty easy these days to put together a cable station with digital technology and what not... the challenge is getting cable providers to carry it.
