Someone should tell Melina that she isn't that great either..... However, I do agree that Torres is crap, but still..... The Divas are lucky they are even given TV time on Raw, as the only capable in-ring worker is Gail Kim, yet she is underutilized

I can be wrong but as far as I remember, she was a part of the 3 main events at Wrestlemania 23. And it was a really horrible match.

Melina vs Ashley in a lumberjill match was the penultimate match at WM 23 and was not even the worst match of the night (Khali vs Kane, not a main event though)

It wasn't a "MAIN EVENT" main event match but it was second last on the card. And it was horrible.

That's called a "buffer match". The match before it was really the semi-Main Event.

Either way it was Crap... I remember that... I understand the reasoning behind these buffer matches... But when you pay over $60 for a PPV such as WM... In my opinion F*** the buffer matches... If the match is not gonna be that great like the end of a WM should be (Actually ALL of WM should be awesome...), then put it at the beginning of the friggin' card...

It pissed me off again that there was a "buffer" match so close to the end of WM this year... I think the credibility of WM goes down with that shit...

I like hot girls in tight shit too, but damn... And I agree with above, Gail Kim is WAY underutilized... My 2 cents...

It's the Diva's title though, not the Women's so she shouldn't make a big fuss over it right?

I understand what Melina is saying, and I agree. However, it IS the Divas title, so I find it really hard to give too much of a fuck.

Also I have to say that I never thought that Melina would have come as far as she has. I thought she just be another in and out Diva 3 years tops or until your could take a 3 day cave adventure. Anyway, I do enjoy and having her in the ring. She'll never be Trish or Lita, but I'll put her somewhere around Sunny or Sable for sure.

I like Melina. She's good to look at, can play a great character, and she's not that bad in the ring at all. She tries to bust out something new every match. Eve is not really horrible, but I she approaches it at times, whereas others she is just average. I completely agree that her win came with such little build-up, and that Maryse should have just deflected her as a challenger; but the RAW Divas Title scene is such a mess. Melina and Maryse should be drafted over to SmackDown!, where they can actually do proper work.

I dream of a proper Women's Division with Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Katie Lea, Gail Kim, Melina, Michelle McCool, Maryse, Layla (who is getting so much better), Jillian Hall and Amazing Kong. I would jizz over that.

I do miss the Trish/Lita/Jazz days... so long ago and yet not so.

They should have a stipulation in all of the Divas' contracts that states that if you don't improve your skills and are not able to put on a great in-ring performance then you must pose fully nude in various positions.

She was better than most of divas we have now.

Get off it. Slamming Lita doesn't make you cool. She was one of the only women from 99-02 or so who actually bothered to do something more than show up and strip, and she was more charistmatic and talented than about 30 "Divas" I can mention who have disgraced the ring in that time.

Those buffer matches are meant to give the crowd a break between two hot matches. You can't always put the top 2 matches at the end of the card because there's a chance that the crowd will not be as loud for the 2nd match. The first match of the card is usually meant for matches to get the crowd going...a women's match probably won't do that.

I really disagree with Melina was saying. About 88% of Melina's matches is a botchfest. Eve Torres is one of my favorite divas..(along side Layla). But its always been somthing about Melina that i just didnt like. She comes off as a kiss up to the politics backstage. Eve Torres i can tell she is still green but she has alot of heart and dedicated to learn.

Lets just be happy they havn't put the title on Vicky yet.

I think the important point she was making was that there was absolutely no build up or chase to Eve winning the title. She won a number one contender's match (a fucking Dress to Impress Battle Royale, no less), got her shot the very next week, and won. That was it.

Maryse was in the midst of what could have turned out to be a pretty good title run. Maryse is also an interesting character and a pretty good heel. There could have been some excitement generated around her FINALLY getting dethroned, but instead, they just took the title off her in what should have been a throwaway match. Something like that MIGHT have worked better if Maryse had lost to someone who was established and had been a champion before, and that doesn't describe Eve at all. That's not a knock to Eve, but it's true. Eve isn't the worst wrestler ever, but she's still green and has done nothing to make anybody think that she should be a champion besides win a stupid fucking battle royale.

With championships, the excitement isn't in becoming the champion. It's in the chase for the title and the road there. That's where people get over. That match did no favors for Eve, Maryse, or the womens division. Say what you will about Melina in the ring, but it doesn't change her point at all.

I only wonder why she chose NOW to speak out about it when the same thing has been happening in that division for years now. At least on the Raw side. Smackdown's divas seem to have a LITTLE more direction.

Agreed. I wouldn't be surprised if a large part of Melina's discomfort with this is because she expected to dethrone Maryse when she returned from her injury. But now she knows that she's going to be brought back randomly, and doing pretty much the same as every other girl until it's her turn with the belt again.

At least Michelle McCool vs. Beth Phoenix is being built-up very well on SmackDown!. The crowds actually seem like they will get quite hot for Phoenix winning the title, too.
