Ouch!

WWE Ratings for the week of April 5 were 2.9 and 2.6.

Was this the week they were up against the NCAA? I forget whether there were other programs on that night.

Ermaximus 04-15-2010 11:53 AM

Yea. The NCAA title game between Butler and Duke was that night.

Anybody Thrilla 04-15-2010 11:53 AM

NCAA was two weeks ago.

Quick question...why are you so obsessed with the ratings?

He's talking about the 4/5 ratings though ABT, which was 2 weeks ago.

Anybody Thrilla 04-15-2010 12:15 PM

That's fine. I was just stating that it was two weeks ago.

Duly noted sir.

Swiss Ultimate 04-15-2010 12:24 PM

What did TNA get?

People were just talking about the Monday night Wars and ratings on a weekly basis.

Total obsession, dude.

I'd guess a 0.7 or lower.

Hanso Amore 04-15-2010 12:41 PM

Kane is all about numbers. Sad really. He lives in a world of data.

Don't snub me, bro. You're always talking about ratings. You're gonna pretend that you're not?

tjmidnight420 04-15-2010 12:50 PM

The man knows his shit... Props.

Mr. Nerfect 04-15-2010 12:55 PM

Kane Knight is always talking about ratings, but it's an aspect of professional wrestling. It's not something I have really cared about, but it's not like it's not worth discussing.

Onto the topic at hand: I am tempted to reverse the what people say about TNA, and talk about how the WWE is going under, but I'll refrain. I am curious to see TNA's ratings, though.

Anybody Thrilla 04-15-2010 12:58 PM

I didn't mean to say it's not worth discussing, but it feels like he discusses it a lot. It also seems he doesn't enjoy much he sees on WWE programming.

Anyway, my stance...I'll care about ratings when WWE is in danger of losing TV time over them. Until then, I could care less. Maybe I shouldn't have posted in this thread then, right?

Mr. Nerfect 04-15-2010 01:02 PM

Nah, I enjoy you posting anywhere. You're a good poster. But yes, you are right -- KK does discuss it a lot. But I guess we all have our things. Mine being Val Venis, Brian Kendrick & Paul London in a threesome. With Doug Basham watching.

Anybody Thrilla 04-15-2010 01:07 PM

Jack Swagger for me.

Gotta admit though... He does look like he could suck the gold plate off that title through a straw...

Ermaximus 04-15-2010 02:41 PM

Imagine a porno made with John Morrison and Melina. Jesus the things they'd do to each other....

Anybody Thrilla 04-15-2010 02:56 PM

This thread has taken a rather disturbing turn.

KIRA 04-15-2010 07:10 PM

Howd we go from ratings to discussing Morrison and Melina's bedroom Olympics

Skippord 04-15-2010 07:16 PM

Starship Penis

YoungFlyFlashy 04-15-2010 07:32 PM

WWE Did You Know?

The highest rated Monday Night Raw ever was the night after Owen Hart passed away. The show that night drew a 7.2.

Hmmm...You know, until Xero and company brought it up in regards to the "Monday Night Wars," I hadn't really brought it up in quite a while....I stopped even checking Nielsen Media Research, because I lost interest.

I know we're on a board for a genre that's all about hyperbole, but seriously. If you think you're being snubbed, it's only because the original question was kinda dumb. And ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.

My interest will wane soon, probably. Now that TNA's backed off the "head to head" thing that the morons thought would lead to a real battle, the "MNW" threads are mostly gone, and there's not much left to say about it.

However, since there's still some stuff to be said, I'm just going to point out that two years, three years, five years ago, the ratings wouldn't have changed this much for NCAA or the NBA. Even against playoffs, they normally held their own, with only small losses.

I do think it's telling that they were losing fans going into Wreslemania and losing fans coming out. And while you can blame it on Butler/Duke, it's at the point where doing so is kind of like blaming TNA's ratings on Wrestlemania. It's more excuse than explanation.

I expect the ratings for the 12th did bounce back, but bouncing back shouldn't have even been an issue for the titan that is World Wrestling Entertainment.

So yeah. My "obsession" will likely end in a week or two. some "obssession."

Anybody Thrilla 04-16-2010 12:52 PM

We'll see....we'll see...
