Matches/feuds that could have happened but didn't
What are some matches or feuds that could have happened sometime in history but for some reason didn't.
Bret Hart vs. Hogan in 1993 or even in WCW. It was teased in WCW but never happened (except at a house show). The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels. The Rock came back a few times after HBK returned. One of those times could have been a match vs. HBK. Owen Hart vs. Shawn Michaels after the Montreal Screwjob. They feuded but I don't think they had a match, then Owen started feuding with HHH instead. Hogan vs. Flair at WrestleMania 8. Austin vs. Hogan in 2002. Austin declined wrestling Hogan at WrestleMania 18. A proper RVD vs. HBK or Rey vs. HBK match/feud. These matches only happened on TV. RVD vs. HBK was soon after Survivor Series 2002 and HHH interfereed. HBK vs. Rey was the Eddie Guerrero Raw tribute. |
Not sure how a proper Triple H vs Edge feud has not happened yet

Not mentioning what's already been said...
Randy Savage / Shawn Michaels... Imagine if HBK was instigating a feud with the Macho Man and Macho put him over, would have been amazing. Mr. Perfect / Hunter Hearst Helmsley... this was Hunter's first major program in WWE after his feud with H.O.G, Perfect was teetering on smarmy face and getting over, however I don't think he was able to wrestle at the time or Vince didn't want it to materialize. It would have been another great way to break Helmsley in big time. The Rock vs Stone Cold vs Triple H... The match that never happened (Survivor Series 99). At the time this match was made I was like, "Ughhh". We had seen different variations of this match so many times I was fine with Big Show winning the title that night. However, in time, the three became epic superstars and the match that never happened did have a chance to at one point or another. I would have found a spot for it in the Main Event of Wrestlemania somewhere down the road. |
Mr. Perfect vs HBK would of been epic!

Goldberg Vs Stone Cold, that was always my dream match, it would have been huge but for some reason it was missed.

Kurt Angle/Mr Perfect after Perfect returned in the Rumble that one year.

Hulk Hogan vs. Bret Hart in 1993
Bret Hart vs. Kurt Angle Shawn Michaels vs. Rob Van Dam (without any DQ or CO finishes) The Great Muta vs. The Undertaker Sting vs. The Undertaker Sting vs. The Ultimate Warrior Bret Hart vs. Chris Jericho Tiger Mask I vs. Tiger Mask II vs. Tiger Mask III vs. Tiger Mask IV Black Tiger I vs. Black Tiger II vs. Black Tiger III vs. Black Tiger IV vs. Black Tiger V Tiger Mask I and Jushin Liger vs. Pegasus Kid and Dynamite Kid Jushin Liger vs. Super Liger Hiroshi Hase vs. Kurt Angle Manabu Nakanishi vs. Kurt Angle Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Kurt Angle Yoshiaki Yatsu vs. Kurt Angle |

I would have loved to have seen an alliance between Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock & Triple H formed around WrestleMania X-8, with the three teaming up to face the nWo. I think that could have been a huge feud. I still wish Rob Van Dam had won the 2002 Royal Rumble, challenged Chris Jericho in the main event, with that six-man tag being the semi.
I always wanted to see Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho in a proper feud, too. I think the closest they came was in 2000, when they were technically WrestleMania opponents. |

By the way, Shawn Michaels vs. Owen Hart would have been absolutely epic in late 1997/early 1998. It would have been fantastic. Those two would have worked brilliant together, I think.

I'm surprised we haven't yet had a proper John Morrison vs. The Miz feud, either. The same goes with Carlito and Primo, even with the two on the same brand.

Micheals/Rock would be my favorite.
