Owen Hart, HHH & the European Title.

I saw this match on Youtube, Owen Hart wins the European Title from "Hunterdust". My 1st thought was "I guess Hunter was supposed to put him over & he didn't wanna." Does anybody know if this was the case, given the circumstances of who was involved? I can't imagine 'H & HBK being very cool with dropping a belt to Bret Hart's little brother, especially in 1999.

Who knows what was going on with the first few switches. Bulldog to Michaels, Michaels to Hunter, Hunter to Owen were all controversial.

Yeah, Michaels takes it from Bulldog with a crapload of Kliq interference, Michaels to Hunter in a joke "match", and Hunter losing his smile. The title never really had that much prestige, but at least once D'lo got ahold of it he worked his character around it & turned it from nothing to a prop to get his character over... Always thought it was kinda lulzy, Owen got ripped a new one by the announcers cuz he got backup from the Nation to keep from being raped weekly by DX :lol:
