I believe Downunder is seeing them in Oct, I'll be seeing them November 15th. Not going to lie, pretty fucking pumped.

I have to say that I would prefer Corrosion of Conformity to Korn, Powerman 5000, Kid Rock, AND System of a Down.

I've seen them live three times now, and all criticisms aside, they put on an amazing show. Bonnaroo 2008 was an odd choice, but nevertheless awesome.

Anyway I saw the live show from France and he sounded fine

You can't sound your best every fucking show when you play like 20 cities in a row and shit.

Plus, he's not as young as he used to be.

Last I saw of them was on the HBO Rock & Roll Hall of Fame special, and he sounded awful. Sounded like he has changed his whole style to be more convential singing and less guttural. I would imagine it has to do with years of screaming like a banshee and the wear and tear it probably has on his vocal cords.

Anyways, it sounded horrendous and nothing like Metallica should sound like. I'm not a Metallica hater though. I used to be a big fan, and still occasionally enjoy their old music. I love their early albums but I haven't really liked a thing they've done since the very early 90s.

I've seen them live twice and they are far and above, the best live band I've seen. The energy in the building is just incredible, they were better live than AC/DC and that says a lot.
