So...
how about that local sports team, eh? Aren't they swell?
(Post your local team/teams here) |
My local hockey team was out in the first round of the OHL playoffs. After losing Ryan Callahan and Drew Doughty to the NHL, they have nothing left, lol.
|
If were talking truely local then the Delmarva Shorebirds (Class A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles) are it for me. Matt Hobgood is awesome.
|
My town has no good sports team except for the Colorado College Tigers hockey team.
|
We only have one 'Big 4' team and thats the Flames (NHL). We got a football team in the CFL, they are pretty good, won the championship in 2008

A shit hole but the only real rugby ground left in use for professional rugby in Wales :( http://194.131.180.89/Newport%20County.gif Newport County. Blue Square South Champions. http://www.worcestercityfc.co.uk/Por...m_10_500px.JPG Spytty Park. Lol. |
UNBC Thunder Birds. They won the Collegiate BasketBall thing this year, - Whatever they call it.
Prince George Cougars - WHL Tteam. - They typically suck. However guys Like Zedeno Chara played here. Dan Hammuis, Blair Betts (great before knee injuries), Eric Brewer... bunch more that I'm drawing blanks on right now. |
MONTANA GRIZZLIES

Steelers
Penguins Pirates (currently known as the SUCK-aneers) U of Pitt Panthers |
THE WOLVES!

I live in between the Bay Area and the Sacramento Area, so the local teams are Raiders and 49ers in the NFL, Giants and A's in MLB and the Warriors and Kings in the NBA. As far as college goes, I think the UC Berkeley Golden Bears and the Stanford Cardinal are the favorites around here.
|
By location, the closest would be the Pittsburgh Pro teams and the Cavaliers. I consider southeast Ohio "Battleground Territiry" because there's no team close by, but the people here are a mix of Steelers fans, Browns fans, Bengals fans, and idiot bandwagoners who cheer for Dallas and New England.
