So if you don't like the new Castlevania being cooked up for the consoles, you can has classic-style Castlevania on XBLA(and presumably PSN)? With multiplayer? By the team who gave us the awesome GBA/DS Castlevania games? Pfft, win.

I'm somewhat of a fan of this series, I played some of the older titles quite often in my youth.

With this latest installment I wonder how far off we are from seeing "Castlevania: The Motion Picture".

Paul Anderson's actually working on that now.

After seeing Giant Bomb's Quick Look and review, I have lost all interest. Sounds like a grind of a game.

I DL'd the demo but I didn't enjoy it. It doesn't feel like Castlevania to me.

Yeah, the scale of the thing is fucking badass, but...I don't know. Just not "feeling" it, bro.

The fact that you can play from the zoomed-out view is awesome. That, however, is about about the only interesting thing I can find about this release. Just because its Castlevania and just because its 2D doesn't mean that this game is going to be amazing. From what I've read, it doesn't even look like they upped the resolution on the sprites from the DS versions.

My favorite fact about the game: The game offers six-player co-op but only has five playable characters. Probable reason for this: everyone will play Alucard anyway.

I dont like that you can repeat characters. I would like to have to work together with guys who strengths are my weakness etc.

You have to play with friends for the slightest chance of that happening.

I'm on level 4 so far. Happy that the game offers some level of challenge as opposed to all the metroidvania games.
