What the hell? I can just imagine..

Man - I wanna make a movie where a mad doctor..mad German Surgeon..yeah..captures people and sews them together to form a human centipede.

Studio Exec - Um..how exactly would that work?

Man - Well Id imagine that the 2nd persons face would be shoved up the first persons ass and the 3rd person would have the same done to them. It'll be 100% medically accurate!

This is all because of the new American Healthcare bill.

Why the fuck does this movie exist?

Kind of disappointed once the diagram for the human centipede was shown. Sort of expecting the surgeon to cut them into pieces in some mad scientist experiment but instead its just 2 of the 3 people tossing salad.

This looks awesome.

This was on You Have Been Watching on Thursday and this is only part 1. A sequel is coming out.

The trailer pretty much negates the need to watch the film at all.

This surgeon isn't much of an entomologist.

they haven't shot it yet, and theres enough outrage over this that it might not happen.

The more I look into this movie, the less I wish I had done so.

I've been made so ill just by reading about it and the sources of the subject matter and peoples' opinions on it that I don't think I could stomach actually watching the movie itself.

You know, I used to have a certain desire to put forth media like this--something horrifying, disturbing, outright disgusting in a way that modern audiences had never seen before, simply for the sake of being audacious. Create--I don't know, a videogame for instance--that pushed the envelope just to see it pushed, something so forth and stomach churning that it would make game critics throw up just playing review copies of it. It would be the perfect way to stake your place--to be the reference point for future examples of that medium. When something new and disgusting and unsettling comes out, people would say "at least it's not as bad as ______."

Having now experienced the other side, I no longer feel an urge to do this to people. Jesus Christ. I know there's snuff films and whatnot that depict real violence and real rape and all that, but... Jesus fucking Christ. This god damn movie. I cannot fucking imagine being proud of this.

Someone posted a review, and their basic feeling was that they felt legitimately sorry for the two actresses involved and what they had to go through.

I doubt this is the point where it can get no worse, there will always be pressure to push the envelope. If someone could think up this as an idea for a movie, theres someone out there that will eventually come up with a worse idea. But right now this takes the cake.

ya'll nuts this looks cool. I am a big fan of shock culture films and especially cheesy B-Horror films. I'm gonna get this one.

Why feel sorry for the 2 actresses? They choose the film and they suck......I would not put this on my resume if I was them though, lol.

What's so bad/sickening about this film? It kinda looks like a cheap version of Hostel. What's so appalingly outragous about it?

For the record, I am curious and aim to check it out at some point.

Roger Ebert did and said it was fucking horrible. I usually agree with him on horror movies. I can't stand torture porn and things that are made for the sake of being vile. I'd rather have actual suspense and interest built.
Like ECG said, the trailer pretty much negates my interest in this movie. Maybe if it was more ambiguous and slowly revealed what it was about in the actual film.
I think the trailer is enough for me.

I thought it was pretty good to be honest, for the cheap movie that it is.

I'm pretty tolerant of all kinds of films, so I have no problem watching 'torture porn' as some people wrongly accuse it of being (no offence Jeritron, just saying...).

The story is certainly something I've never come across before, and it's pretty sickening to try and imagine what it'd be like in the position these people are put in.

Certainly not a film for everyone, but I kinda liked it, and will definitely check out the sequel.

Everyone do yourselves a favor and read Ebert's review. It is just great great writing.

He didn't hate it...

I thought he gave it a no star review and blasted it? Perhaps I'm remembering it wrong, it was a few weeks ago that I checked it out.
I usually only read his reviews, and read them after I see the movie for myself, but this one caught my attention.

He didn't care for it, certainly, but saying he gave it no stars is misleading, if not outright wrong. He said that he tries to judge films on how they appeal to their target audience, and that this excels in that regard. He said that the star ratings he uses simply can't be applied to this film, as good or bad from an objective viewpoint are irrelevant for it.

Saying that he gave it a no star review isn't very misleading since the first thing it says is "No star rating"

Perhaps the term no star review may sound misleading, but it was not my intention to mislead. I actually kinda forgot about it and somehow remembered it as more negative.

Looking at it now, it reads "zero stars" as opposed to "no star rating"
Obviously they mean two very different things, but sound essentially the same.
