WWF
What was the point of changing the World Wrestling Federation if the World Wildlife Fund doesn't even advertise enough to merit it?
I have never seen a World Wildlife Fund commercial ever...ever. I still loathe saying "world wrestling entertainment" because it doesn't fit as the name of a "sport company" (neither does TNA for that matter). Thoughts? |
They're on TV over here.
|
World Wildlife Entertainment sounds worse.
|
Know it woulda been more letters but they should have used the same abbreviation that they use in the stock exchange that being WWFE I would have preferred this.
|
I have seen WWF commercials. It really isn't a huge deal, though. If you haven't gotten over it by now, I suppose you never will.
|
I will hold this grudge til my deathbed.

I'm not for or against the Universe. I just hate insidiously bad grammar.
"Welcome to the Entertainment" or "I won the World Entertainment Title" or "You will never wrestle in the Entertainment again!" Yeah, it's still a noun but it's a noun that doesn't work in many, if any, situations. Again, neither does TNA. Total Nonstop Action World Title...ridiculous. |
True, I hate TNA too. There needs to be some form of world wrestling and organization involved in the initials if you want to be a global enterprise I think

There are current WWE fans who were not even alive when they were the WWF.
Think about that one. |

They spared no expense in the P.R. department to make damn sure they could make as big a public spectacle as they could of the name change...
