Better Wrestler All Time Records

Rammsteinmad 05-19-2010 01:41 PM

 come on!

Curt Hennig!

The Jayman 05-19-2010 01:43 PM

Hennig was the better wrestler. Hogan was just the bigger star

jskinnyg 05-19-2010 01:51 PM

Duh, this thread is not perfect due to Hogan...

VSG 05-19-2010 01:53 PM

I had to vote for Hogan here, he clearly did more for pro-wrestling than anyone else in the ring and outside it (Well maybe except Vinnie Mac)

This. :y:

Hogan was the original John Cena.

Joesgonnakillyou 05-19-2010 02:36 PM

Easiest choice ever. I take better wrestler to mean the better Wrestler not biggest star and Hogan isn't in Hennigs league

The Better Wrestler Poll is whatever you make it to be.

That is very true and nobody will dispute that fact but I cant think of a major wrestling PPV ever being headlined by Mr. Perfect. Hogan is professional wrestling, plain and simple. He was starring in horrible movies way before Cena (I still prefer Mr.Nanny to 12 Rounds) and this post will come down to the preformance aspect of this business to the technique.

Absolutely, it's a personal decision. Totally subjective. There's a case for Hogan but that's not my view. If it's anyone elses, fine.

St. Jimmy 05-19-2010 03:06 PM

Hennig is HOF Bound.

Nicky Fives 05-19-2010 03:46 PM

In the words of Iron Sheik;

"FACK Hulk Hogan"

Perfect by a landslide.... I hope.....

This.

FourFifty 05-19-2010 04:14 PM

I have a question for the following people....
BillyBonez, Rollermacka, Storer50, Strike Force, VSG

Can I buy some weed from you?

RiX1024 05-19-2010 04:45 PM

Hennig hands down.

DarKCentaur 05-19-2010 05:23 PM

How can you, in good conscience, NOT vote Hogan here? I mean come on.

Skippord 05-19-2010 05:53 PM

Senor Perfecto

The Mackem 05-19-2010 05:58 PM

Hogan made more money than anyone ever has or will and that's what the ultimate goal of wrestling is.

lol, this poll is kind of ridiculous this time. Without Hogan professional wrestling would be nothing like it is today.

FourFifty 05-19-2010 08:25 PM

Jesus, we need some fuel to the fire here. This has the potential to be just like that one scene in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" where Daffy and Donald Duck were on their dueling pianos.

Better wrestler- Maybe we need a yard stick definition for this, but I base it on their wrestling. Not better promo, who made more money, who donated their soul to charity to save a bus full of orphans, etc.

I'll take The PerfectPlex over a leg drop any day. Curt was the better Wrestler. I'll give Hogan all the props he has earned. He made more money, he did more for the industry, etc etc etc. Let's all suck on the red and yellow dick. But Hogan was never half the wrestler, at his best, that Henning was.

The Pope 05-19-2010 08:30 PM

Mr.Perfect... Not hard to pick at all

Lock Jaw 05-19-2010 09:01 PM

I base everything on who more entertained me personally.

Yeah, Hogan is probably the biggest name ever and revolutionized the industry.

Doesn't change the fact that I have been entertained more by Hennig than I have Hogan.

Thread title and poll is BETTER WRESTLER, not better or bigger star/contributor.

Hennig was miles ahead of Hogan in terms of actual ring work. He was an amazing heel, and the first "bad guy" I couldn't help but root for. had a shit ton of great matches with guys like Hogan, Flair, Bret, HBK, etc.

Hennig=Absolutely Perfect.:y:

XCaliber 05-19-2010 09:54 PM

These two shoulda had a significant feud back in the day that woulda been awesome I voted Hennig btw but it's not a runaway by any means.

That's exactly the problem, isn't it? How do you define "wrestler"? Its been a subject of debate here and no resolution has come out of it. For me, Hogan was the better package and hence my vote for him.

P.S. Juan: At least you didn't put it on autoplay, and used the spoiler tags this time

Overall Hogan since to this day people who are not wrestling fans know who Hogan is and his career as a wrestler.

Mr Perfect had better wrestling skills and good promos and feuds but Hogan knew how to work a crowd either as a face with Hulkamania or as a heel with the initial shock of joining the NwO. Hogan also had the more larger memorable feuds and moments but to be fair he was in the main event longer than Mr Perfect.

Wrestling is about putting on a better wrestling show, sports entertainment is about whatever reason Hogan was a draw. This is called better wrestler not better superstar.

Supreme Olajuwon 05-20-2010 12:06 PM

The wrestling "purists" are out in full force for this round. I wonder where they were when Sting and The Rock beat Lance Storm, The Undertaker beat Ric Flair, and Vader beat The Great Muta.
