I dunno, in theory Hogan and Lawler should have had a better chance than Christian.

Curt Henning since he had better wrestling skills and bigger singles feuds than Christian has so far. Christian had a better tag team career but right now Edge benefited more than him after their split.

Christian has been rising a lot as a wrestler so I wouldn't be surprised if he finally gets a title reign on Smackdown (or if drafted next year to RAW). He basically was placed as the main guy in ECW during his last title reign and really helped out on developing new wrestlers more than just being a jobber to new wrestlers.
