Education and Video Games
 

Kotaku has an interesting article up about an math game called Dimension M. It is game that teaches several mathematical principles while merging the player into a fantasy world.

Problem is that parents believe it is very violent for their children.
What do you think? does education and fun mix? video games?
Never played a math game that was very exciting. However, I have always felt games like Age Of Empires and Total War are a very basic way for kids to expand their knowledge of world history and become more aware of the past.

I like the idea of edutainment, but that game didn't look like it had the tainment part, and I'm not sure it was educational enough to matter. It's certainly doable, though. Resource management can certainly teach math and even reasoning.

If they also made a system of using chemicals in the game.

Francium and Cesium for example make a pretty good explosive.
