You know what fighting game I enjoyed as a kid?
 

Kensei: Sacred Fist. Yeah it wasn't mould breaking and a lot of people said it was average but I enjoyed it. Can't believe it was 12 years ago. I really liked the characters at the time. Alot of them where cookie cutter characters (The ninja, the schoolgirl etc), Jelly/Billy was weird and Douglas was obviously Steven Segal but still, cool.

I wouldn't mind Konami redoing the game, giving it an overhaul etc. I prefered this to Tekken, actually.

Another thing, what ever happened to the Bloody Roar series? They don't seem to release them anymore.

Not gonna lie. That game looks like poo. Plus, whoever's playing just keeps spamming the same shit over and over.

I do miss the days when there were 800 million fighters released every year tho. It made those huge gaps between street fighters tolerable.

Clay Fighters was fun. nothing groundbreaking, but fun. Never played 63 1/3.

This is the first time I've heard of this 'Kensei'. But I gotta say it moves like molasses. If it came out 12 years ago that puts it around the likes of Soul Blade, Tekken 3, Virtua Fighter 2, and Dead or Alive.

This game didn't stand a chance it looks like.

Visuals are actually on par with the generation's offerings. A sequel or two may have given it a chance to build an identity but what I see looks like unfinished code for Tekken. One.

The guy playing sucks ass. Jesus.

I've enjoyed one of the Bloody Roar games, can't even name it right now.

When you're 10 and don't play 3D fighters at all, you enjoy what others would think is average at best. I played Kensei before I played DoA & SC so I couldn't compare them. Tekken felt slower to me than Kensei was. Never been a fan of VF, though.

It was fun to me when I played Vs my brother or someone and that's all you could ask of a game back then, really.

I made this thread hoping someone else would have played the game at some point. I know it was rare to find but I thought someone would have seen it.

Same here. I liked it when every genre had a a lot more choice. Now, each genre has 2 or 3 series that rule it and we don't really get as many new series popping up.

Fucking best moment of all time was when I was like 6 years old and playing this with my brother and we accidentally cast cure on the boss and it annihilated him and then I vomited on the couch.

Shitty games are always fun when I play them with my friends. In Ehrgeiz you can make your guy roll around on the ground like a fucking retard and he just keeps doing it until you get hit or tell him to stop. Pretty funny stuff
