Do you think the United States Dragon will be there

Jonathan KoЯn 06-14-2010 06:59 PM

The whole NXT and Daniel Bryan thing is a work, for sure

Where is RAW today? Curious if the fans might care about Daniel Bryan and give him Matt Hardy-esque chants to get him rehired. Of course, even in a "good" city nowadays they probably wouldn't.

Charlotte, North Cakalakee

parkmania 06-14-2010 07:11 PM

Oh god, R-Truth's home. :nono:

Xero 06-14-2010 07:12 PM

Woo's up!?

Jonathan KoЯn 06-14-2010 07:13 PM

I cant stand R Truth. Too urban

Evil Vito 06-14-2010 07:19 PM

<font color=goldenrod>I'm extremely eager to see where they go with this. My official guess as to what they do tonight will be either they go the normal WWE route and continue on with 7 guys as if nothing happened, OR they will go about this indirectly in a way that doesn't make it clear that they are a man short (using only Barrett tonight, or 2-3 guys, but not the whole stable).

On the off-chance that this is a work (and I don't think it is)...I can't see them blowing their load with it just days later. So yeah, if we actually were to see Danielson tonight, prepare for every wrestling board to crash.</font>

CSL 06-14-2010 07:22 PM

I'd be suprised if he doesn't get mentioned or at least somewhat vaguely referred to, maybe by one of the NXT guys should there be any mic time for them.

Xero 06-14-2010 07:22 PM

They're in Philly in two weeks. If it's a work, that's where they need to do it. Just have him run in, kick the shit out of Cole then Cena.

But they'd need to keep people guessing. Maybe throw loops, like referencing him indirectly.

Xero 06-14-2010 07:24 PM

My huge question is, where do things stand if they directly or indirectly mention the choke?

Evil Vito 06-14-2010 07:26 PM

<font color=goldenrod>I'd be hella pumped if they reference him in some way, whether he was really fired or not. If they go on with 7 guys and act like he was never there it would be rather gay and be one of the worst instances I've seen of WWE hoping it's audience doesn't remember.</font> :o

Xero 06-14-2010 07:28 PM

It'd be interesting if they brought up Danielson's firing for brutality as a way to introduce the fact that the rookies have been signed to contracts by someone within the company, but not even Vince McMahon himself knows who signed them.

Lock Jaw 06-14-2010 07:30 PM

Thing is, the audience probably wouldn't remember. Or at least the majority of it.

NXT wasn't as widely viewed as RAW, so to most people these guys are still just a bunch of random faces and names. They won't notice when one disappears.

Providence Peep 06-14-2010 07:37 PM

I still want to know why the cameraman got a shot of the choke. I guess Danielson wasn't the only one who didn't know about the no-choking-with-objects rule. If the choke hadn't been shown on TV, the firing wouldn't have happened.

BTW, I'm also still unsure whether or not Danielson (and Roberts, for that matter) knew the rule. Could someone clear that up for me?

<font color=goldenrod>Nobody knows for sure. I'd also venture to guess that Heath Slater was unaware of the rule, since he got in Roberts' face as he was being choked yelling "HOW DOES IT FEEL?" rather than stopping Bryan. Not to mention the fact that he started to choke Cena with the ropes but Cena rolled over immediately, so he stopped.

Kinda funny to think about. If the roles were reversed, and Slater was fired...despite not liking the guy, I'd still think it was a gay reason to fire somebody in a stable getting a major angle. But we'd all probably be like "Oh that sucks...but lol Slater."</font>

Razzamajazz 06-14-2010 07:44 PM

or it was bret behind the whole thing because wrestling is too different than from when he was on top

He couldn't have. Why would he have done the choke if he knew it was against the rules?
And if the cameraman had known it was against the rules, the shot wouldn't have aired on TV.

Is that the same reason why Bret put Taker in a vegatative state? :shifty:

CSL 06-14-2010 07:47 PM

Getting carried away/adrenaline/instincts/lapse of concentration etc etc.

Evil Vito 06-14-2010 07:59 PM

<font color=goldenrod>It still feels like a harsh-ass thing to fire a guy for rather than just suspend, fine, job to Cena in 10 seconds, or anything else.

Shame we'll likely never know the full truth behind who pressured Vince into sacking him, so that he "had no choice". Crazy story.</font>

The camera man just shoots what is there in front of him. Its the director who would make the call to stick on that camera or cut to a different one.

Xero 06-14-2010 08:00 PM

So fire Kevin Dunn.

CSL 06-14-2010 08:01 PM

There's probably more chance of him firing Linda.

Evil Vito 06-14-2010 08:04 PM

<font color=goldenrod>lol imagine if smarks happen to be sitting behind the announcers tonight? (Justin Roberts in particular)</font>

Xero 06-14-2010 08:07 PM

"You got choked the fuck out" chants would be amazing.

Evil Vito 06-14-2010 08:10 PM

<font color=goldenrod>Somebody should go to grab Roberts' tie again this week only to be swerved when they find that he's switched to a clip-on</font>

Savio 06-14-2010 08:13 PM

So you guys think Cena will over come the odds tonight?

Razzamajazz 06-14-2010 08:13 PM

just watching the video again of the attack, did anyone else notice what looked like a fan ringing the bell?

jskinnyg 06-14-2010 08:20 PM

Look for my guys TPWW sign 8 rows back... My hometown kids...

VSG 06-14-2010 08:20 PM

Ya, a fan rung the bell not once but twice if I remember.

Looks to be an interesting night. Feuerstein is an alright guy, but less screen time, the better.
