Arrested Development: The Movie?
 

Just did a quick forum search to see if this had popped up anywhere, seems it didn't - sorry if it did.

Just been re-watching the show since buying it on DVD, had a little look on IMDb to check out the trivia page and noticed there's a AD film scheduled for 2011.

How has this escaped the attention of TPWW - if it has.

Hasn't the movie been in limbo for a few years now? Last I had heard they were having a hard time getting all the actors together at the same time.
It's pretty crazy that Michael Cera is the busiest of them all.

I wonder how that documentary I was interviewed for is coming along

Last time I heard about the film it was mostly about Cera refusing for some reason while everyone else was fine with making a film. Don't remember the exact reasons why he refused but I don't believe it was because of other film commitments.

According to IMDb it's been completed. I read that they were looking for distribution.

It's not happening from what I've heard. David Cross has said it's way too hard to get everybody together now that everyone's doing their own thing

He probably has agents and other people in his ear telling him that he's a huge star, and above it now. It can be construed as a step backwards, even though it really isn't.
Cera is pretty type-cast, and even though I kinda like him/loved Superbad, he's definitely a flavor of the month, and will eventually stop getting so many roles.
Then he'll probably be first in line to make an Arrested Development movie.

Ironic part is the tv show made him famous to begin with since he was one of the few characters people really enjoyed. If he waits too long after his hype or image is no longer popular, it could potentially hurt the film sort of similar to how the Dragon Ball film flopped badly by waiting too long to make (script itself was horrible as well).

And this would be the picture of the first people to screen it. :p

I've made a huge mistake

I always thought there would be a greater chance of doing Season 4 than a movie.

I don't see this as a series, maybe a movie.

I heard that all the actors had agreed to it and such? Gotta go back and check up on it now. :(
