Wrestlemania X7 re-arranged.
 

Hello.

What if Wrestlemania X-7 had a different card from the one we got? I mean imagine HBK got clean earlier and is return for WM.

How would Wrestlemania X-7 be if it went something like this?
WWE Title:
Triple H vs Stone Cold

Face vs Face: HBK's return match:
The Rock vs Shawn Michaels

Streak match:
Chris Jericho vs The Undertaker

and keep the rest as it is? This way we get 3 potential **** instead of 2 and it can be a really good card. Crowd will pop huge for HBK's return and Austin.

How would you have liked it. I mean HHH, Austin, Rock, HBK were the four main figures in the WWF for the attitude era and sure Austin/Rock is one of the greatest Wrestlemania main events and it had great buildup and such but a HBK/Rock could have a really good buildup too and so could HHH/Austin.

he was drugged up in 2001 and there was like spit coming out his mouth and Taker/HHH both kicked him out. He told HHH to 'go fuck himself' and after a cookie incident involving his kid he started his path to getting clean.

X-7 is arguably the greatest WrestleMania of all time. Don't fuck with perfection.

I prefer Wrestlemania 10, but 17 is a very close second....

I still mark the fuck out at TLC 2.

There was no build up for those matches at the time.

It was definitely interesting that they decided to end the Austin/HHH feud at No Way Out, obviously because they wanted Rock/Austin 2 at Mania. Also, frankly Austin and HHH had already been involved in pretty much every match possible at that point dating all the way back to No Mercy. A Wrestlemania confrontation between the two might have been overdoing it.

I definately think they would have kept Rock - Austin. Both were mega stars and I love HBK but they were both bigger than him. It probably would have been HBK vs HHH, just a few years earler.

At that stage WWF didn't miss/need HBK

I'd have kept Rock vs Austin at that event, because it was the height of both their popularity and the height of the attitude era. It defined that event.

I'd have Michaels return against HHH, just like he eventually did anyways.

I like Jeri's idea and then I would have Taker vs Angle and Benoit vs Jericho. Hmm... maybe thats too much? :eek:

Taker and Angle had fueded a couple times in the year prior to that and had a few PPV matches, as did Benoit and Jericho.
For that reason I'd reverse those two matchups and have Angle vs Jericho and Benoit vs Taker.

Angle and Jericho never really had a proper singles fued/match. I think their only PPV match was at No Way Out 2000, for the IC title, and wasn't close to all it could be.

I'd have Albert win the Hardcore Championship instead of appearing ringside on Heat.

I'd say that Wrestlemania X8 was my personal favorite. X8 had Hogan Vs Rock and Undertaker Vs Ric Flair, and neither was the main event on the card.

WM 17 though had Rock/Austin, Taker/HHH, Vince/Shane, TLC Hardys - Dudleys - E&C, Kane - Big Show - Raven Hardcore match, Angle - Benoit, Test - Eddie... Plus the Hardcore Battle Royal.

Glorious PPV.

Wrestlemania 17 was decent as it was. It could use a few extra big matches though
