Enigmatic Assholes?
 

So my DVR has refused to tape TNA Impact for several weeks, which I chalked up to it having more sense than me. So I was a little surprised when it recorded Impact for this week. I turn it on, catch the recap, and see Jeff Hardy and Mister Kenn...Anderson are teaming together. Okay, probably the most significant face in TNA right now (Sans perhaps RVD) teamed up with a scenery chewing villain...Makes sense. Then Kenn...Anderson calls them the "Enigmatic Assholes."

What?

Please tell me this isn't a real title. I'd ask what they were smoking, but....Jeff Nero Hardy.

Anderson apparently has already turned face by calling himself an "asshole" and calling his fans "Assholes".

Because if you miss a few weeks in TNA, there's no telling who is face/heel anymore.

I assume everyone's face in TNA.

But yeah, I got that he was calling himself an asshole and his fans were eating it up...It's just that they're still playing him as a threat to Hardy (Which is pretty much the kind of crap I expect from them) and the fact that they just kind of slapped together words from two catchphrases that are kind of dumb.

I like "Charismatic Enigma." Trying to fuse it with "asshole" is pretty awful though.

Although it probably beats MISTERRRRRRRRRR ENIGMA!

On the other hand, the one promo I saw with the two of them seemed decent, and Kenn...Anderson managed to go kosher for all of thirty seconds (no ham, you see....)

I originally hated the idea of Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson teaming together, and the idea of Anderson as a face, but if it's going to work with the fans I don't see why not. Especially if Anderson is just doing it because it's unpredictable and he likes being a loose cannon. When he turned face, Mr. Kennedy should have always been the same -- same deal with Anderson.

I think they'd have good ring chemistry together, and Anderson has even borrowed Jeff Hardy's finishing move. I hope we see some Kenton Bombs during his teaming with Jeff. But if they are going to be a team, I really wish they had just let them win the TNA World Tag Team Championship from The Band. Beer Money, Inc. and The Motor City Machine Guns could both still challenge at Victory Road. Anderson & Hardy would have made a team that could have believable beaten a team like The Band. Not that Kevin Nash & Scott Hall should be at the top of the card in this day and age, but you know how TNA is?
