WWE CHAMPION SAYS WRESTLEMANIA 30 WILL TAKE PLACE AT...

...Madison Square Garden in New York City.

During a show closing promo at the end of the WWE Supershow in the Garden, John Cena thanked everyone for their support, put over NYC and said he looked forward to everyone coming back when Wrestlemania 30 returns to the Garden.

Now, while it was expected that PPV would take place at MSG (Manias 1, 10 and 20 did), this always could have been something said to pop the house. Still, it's noteworthy.

Awesome if true.

I dunno. Wrestlemania feels a lot bigger than MSG now, but I could be completely delusional.

My theme would sound awesome played in Madison Square Garden.

10 and 20 were there, I'm slightly disappointed if it turns out to be true as it would be another 10-year mark in good-ol' NYC. Seems like they'd want to branch out a bit though, maybe hit some states they've never been to for Mania.

They're doing some major renovations at MSG, which should coincide with 'Mania 30 once it's completed.

I wonder what WWE will do with the whole "WrestleMania XXX" theme.

Seriously though, obviously MSG is kinda considered the home of Wrestlemania, but I love watching these WM's in huge stadiums filled right up with like 90'000 people, MSG will kinda lower it back to what? 20'000 at the most?

That is pretty awesome pic and comment, plus it's interesting that WM XXX is happening in the PG era. Hopefully that'll be the start of the next WWE phase.

I can't wait for WrestleMania to come to Cowboys Stadium in Dallas and a legit potential crowd of 100,000+. It can hold 100,000 for a football game, and Wikipedia says its expandable to 111,000 with standing room.

the thing is. WWE might not have enough star power for a WM to fill out 100000+ with just Cena and Orton. I mean if 28 gets Miami then 29 gets Toronto and 30 gets MSG. Taker, Edge, HHH & Jericho (maybe) could be gone. How can Cena/Orton fill up 100000+? Unless Rock returns for a match against Cena, Austin returns for one against Orton, Shawn returns for one-more (unlikely) they can't fill up 100000. They struggled filling up 70000 this year.

Well, I'd assume WWE will have new stars and draws within 6 years. Hell, they filled up Reliant Stadium with HHH/Orton and Cena/Edge/Big Show. Of course, this could all be moot and Bound For Glory X will sell-out Cowboys Stadium.

Just wondering how much seats are going to be to offset the loss of all the other seats. When I went to 20 it was $75 for the absolute cheapest. Ten years later and we're probably looking at $200 for the cheapest.

Some of you are insane apparently. Madison Square Garden is the greatest venue and the greatest crowd in wrestling history. Who gives a shit if only holds 20,000? They had 70,000 this year and the crowd sucked. For all I care they can hold every major PPV at MSG.
