Well, the initial reason Horny was brought in was an attempt to bury Finlay, who was catching fire despite Laurinitis not wanting him back in the ring. Problem was, it backfired.

I hate Hornswoggle as much as the next Internet Smark but the remainder of your rant is bollocks. The WWE went TV-PG because a ratings decline shifted the product in a new direction geared towards not only children but new and rich advertisers.

You may "hate" children but as a parent, if my son loves something (in this case wrestling) I would buy him the Mysterio mask or a Cena shirt if need be.


Yeah buddy I am also not very happy about the Hornswoggle's of the WWE currently but buck up...we have seen some AMAZING wrestling matches in the last few years that even a PG rating could not stop.


The Attitude Era was violent and chaotic but also was very corny at times.
The PG Era is blood free and equally corny BUT there is VERY high quality of matches coming at a time where blood and uber-violence isn't accepted.

The fact that they can't blade means that the wrestlers associated in these big high profile matches have to work even harder to get the match over as an epic or a classic. This era has seen the rise of some of the greatest talents the WWE has EVER had. CM Punk doesn't need to blade.


So yeah, Horny should go as well as some of the really corny bits - But that is not TV-PG's fault...It is Vince McMahon & the writers fault for diluting the product with what they think the fans want to see.

This is true. But my hope was for him to play the angle of "Since I'm a McMahon, I'm going to act like it". I could see Vince trying to dress him up to appear dapper like the rest of the clan, and still have goofy, noisemaker Hornswoggle as a foil. But that'd still be very face. As a heel, he'd have to drop his cutesy, childish act.

Because he hasn't been paired up with anyone else yet on a consistent basis, and they want to get away from his Finlay/Leprechaun appearance?

I think the reason Hornswoggle is so utilized by WWE is because kids do love him. The reason why people don't like him is because he's annoying, just in the way of everything and hasn't done anything significant. Basically, he's the one real tangible base that WWE truly panders to kids these days. Hardly anyone, including myself, buys Vince's sudden PG 1980s tone of sports entertainment when you're coming off a decade of fist fights at funerals, giving birth to a hand, challenging God, and someone simulating intercourse with a corpse in a casket. Hornswoggle represents the antithesis, polar opposite of that string of lurid garbage....and his being in DX shows that--besides Vince being a fucking moron, that DX has truly jumped the shark. DX of course being an "attitude era" stable.

Im curious as to why Chavo Guerrero jobbed to Hornswoggle like 6 times....was that punishment?

Hornswoggle is there for teh lulz. And to make Chavo a embarrassment to the company.

Lol I doubt Chavo is losing sleep over this. I'm sure 90 percent of the roster would love to wrestle without having to take any bumps whatsoever, get featured weekly and be able to still walk upright when their 60. Chavo is laughing all the way to the bank.

Just like Cena, I liked Hornswoggle as a heel.
