This is gonna be off the hizook, regardless of who wins.

(LOL @ Carwin putting his shoes on for the staredown, to appear equal height)

Savio 07-03-2010 10:16 PM

That was a nice prelim fight

Danny Electric 07-03-2010 10:17 PM

ouch

Savio 07-03-2010 10:27 PM

Intead of Mitrione being Kimbos last fight they should have made it Seth.

IC Champion 07-03-2010 11:21 PM

I dont care who wins this fight.

VSG 07-03-2010 11:32 PM

Good fight from a couple of nobody's.

IC Champion 07-03-2010 11:32 PM

the first fight that is

IC Champion 07-03-2010 11:33 PM

The Aussie is building a name for himself. I don't want to attempt spelling his name

Nark Order 07-03-2010 11:33 PM

George definitely wasn't out.

Nark Order 07-03-2010 11:34 PM

Oh, my bad. They didn't stop the fight. Watching this with no audio here.

IC Champion 07-03-2010 11:40 PM

Ill pm you what i use.

Nark Order 07-03-2010 11:48 PM

Great counter punch by Bonnar.

IC Champion 07-03-2010 11:51 PM

Great round.

Corndad 07-03-2010 11:52 PM

This has been a hell of a fight so far

Nark Order 07-04-2010 12:01 AM

Estatic that Bonnar got a convincing win over a great contender.

alvarado52 07-04-2010 01:29 AM

well now ive seen everything...

Krimzon7 07-04-2010 02:13 AM

Lesnar wins via arm triangle??? After getting thrashed in the goddam first? I have seen everything. This was one of the best cards in recent history

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 07-04-2010 02:50 AM

Both men are still beasts.

Carwin can still take anybody out with his hands. It's very rare he'll face someone with the chin/strength of Brock to overcome his punches.

Brock's superior stamina and wrestling were expected, and his submission was impressive.

I don't see anybody surviving under Brock, once he gets a solid position.

The Mask 07-04-2010 02:54 AM

i think carwin could beat him. brock looked scared shitless in the first. carwin just needs to be a bit more tactical and work on his cardio, there's not a whole lot between them.

The Mask 07-04-2010 02:54 AM

oh wait, i didn't read the "once he gets a solid position" bit. ignore what i just said, i agree completely.

muffalufagus 07-04-2010 03:26 AM

Fucking amazing. I love Carwin and Lesnar both, but Brock is the real deal.

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 07-04-2010 03:42 AM

Brock and Dana were great in the post-fight press conference.

If you get chance, try to watch the full video, rather than the chopped-up version they'll probably post on UFC.com.

Verbose Minch 07-04-2010 04:26 AM

So can we all safely say that Brock's chin has been tested?

Yeah, he definetly wanted no part of Shane standing, it was funny watching Shane chase Brock down. Brock has trouble getting the fight to the ground, even late in the first when Shane was gassed.

Krimzon7 07-04-2010 11:55 AM

man, right at the end of that gif, look how brocks muscles seize! He looks like an anaconda putting that final squeeze to break ribs, get that last bit of air out of it's dinner!

IC Champion 07-04-2010 02:48 PM

It was terrible techinque, Lesnar basically muscled the choke, which he probably wouldn't have been able to do if Carwin wasn't so winded.

Savio 07-04-2010 03:09 PM

What are you talking about? it go him the win.

Reavant 07-04-2010 03:18 PM

Yea that was actually really good technique.... he did exactly what to do when a guy is pushing with his elbow against the choke by circling away from his body to shorten the angle of carwins elbow and sink the choke in.

IC Champion 07-04-2010 03:23 PM

Oh, my buddy who trains in BJJ said it looked like he just muscled the choke in.

Did I question wheather or not he won?

Savio 07-04-2010 03:27 PM

I dont get why you are saying its a bad technique though. He took him to the ground which is not Carwins game then put his bicep right on his throat and circled to get the good angle to choke him.

IC Champion 07-04-2010 03:31 PM

I don't know that I would call the BJJ Brocks game either. I don't think either man are really accomplished in that area.

IC Champion 07-04-2010 03:37 PM

And the ground didn't look like it was Brock's game in the first round. It wasn't so much Carwins lack of BJJ skills, and Brocks BJJ skills, as it was a big strong guy on top of a tired guy. And all the credit in the world to Brock for surviving the first and getting through the barrage that was Carwins fists, I thought it was done by that point.

It was definetly a big win for him.

I was misinformed by a BJJ who thinks Brock is a joke.

IC Champion 07-04-2010 03:50 PM

I just watched the finish in a video that wasn't all pixelated, and it looked alot better than when I saw it last night. And apparenlty it's like impossible to just used strength as the angles have to be right. Or so I've just been told.

Striking is Carwins Primary weapon. Lesnar took him out of that game. as for you your second post...Obviously he was getting punched in his face.

Nark Order 07-04-2010 04:40 PM

Well, at least the questions about Brock's chin have more or less been answered.

IC Champion 07-04-2010 04:40 PM

My point was that at the time, neither was there under the best of circumsatnces. Lesnars got rocked and dropped, and Carwin got taken down and was gassed. Carwin came into the fight expecting to be taken down at some point, unless he's crazy, or crazy confident.

True, do you think if he isn't the world champion, that maybe the fight gets stopped early? Refs do tend to give the champ a fair bit a leverage when it comes to stoppages. Honestly, I thought it was going be stopped at one point.

IC Champion 07-04-2010 04:51 PM

It's not that I thought Brock was badly hurt, he just wasn't doing what they call in MMA "intelligently" defending himself at one point. And I think we have all seen fights stopped for less.
