Ring of Honor Wrestling thread

I just got into watching roh and i'd have to say that they have great matches

my favorite match so far is - american wolves vs Daniels/Roderick Strong

if any of you watch ring of honor post your favorite matches!

Juan 07-08-2010 12:40 AM

You should watch ROH matches from 2004-2006. Some of the best wrestling I've ever seen.

The Pope 07-08-2010 12:41 AM

RoH is Awesome!, you should've been watching this a long time before.

They've only been on HDNet for around a year or so.

Beth Phoenix Fan 07-08-2010 12:49 AM

Psychic!!

thecc 07-08-2010 01:19 AM

I still mark for old school RoH. Japanese turnbuckles and special K FTW

mike adamle 07-08-2010 01:32 AM

Low Ki vs. Bryan Danielson from Round Robin Challenge is probably my favorite match ever.

thecc 07-08-2010 01:46 AM

Death before dishonor 3, to this day is still one of my favorite wrestling shows. Just about everything from Low-Ki killing Special K to Paul London's farewell. I don't think there was any indy show as stacked as that card in 2003.

Destor 07-08-2010 01:59 AM

plus the jeff hardy match always brings a smile to my face.

Tyler Killer 07-08-2010 02:07 AM

Hey, isn't ROH the promotion that uses Bingo Halls or School Gyms? Yeah, it is.... enough said. Anything to make you fucking Smarks different hey? They wrestle in a fucking bingo hall, in front of 600 people MAX. :foc:

YESS!! That match was a total train wreck. I'm pretty sure hardy botched his entrance too.

Weird that I went to ROH Final Battle 2008 at the Hammerstein Ballroom, where they used to tape Raws and the original ECW One Night Stand shows. Also weird that there were 2,500 people there. Hmm.

Destor 07-08-2010 02:21 AM

(now i know your just trolling so this isnt really directed at you) but i wonder why the people who actually have the "fuck the indy fan" metallity actually do? i can understand not liking the indies, we all watch wrestling for diffrernt reasons so each product is going to interest us differently. but hating on the fans? indy fan are typically fans that just want work rate which is something not offered in mainstream wrestling any more. i dont see why they would get the hate they do. now the elitist smark douche bags are another story...

Destor 07-08-2010 02:23 AM

also roh has had ashows in front of 15,000 + in japan so your argument doesnt apply to RoH...just sayin, as a troll you might wanna get decent ammo.

Japan means absolutely FUCK ALL. I bet Bryan Danielson was extremely adored in Japan. How is his career going? That fucking waste of skin.

Yup, that's 1,900 more than your "600 MAX."

Destor 07-08-2010 02:34 AM

japan generates more money in wrestling than in america. it means more actually.

Destor 07-08-2010 02:40 AM

please keep your would be arguments coming though. they`re ammusing.

Tyler Killer 07-08-2010 02:41 AM

O.K. so where are all the fucking Jap wrestlers? Who are they? Oh wait I got one, Jimmy Wang Yang. Who gives a fuck what the japs are doing and what kind of money they generate?

Jeritron 07-08-2010 02:44 AM

Des, do you think workrate is gone from mainstream wrestling completely, or do you mean you think it's just not common?

Destor 07-08-2010 02:45 AM

jimmy wang yang is an american. japs dont come to work here because there is no reason too. they to wrestle with athleticism at home at theyre paid better...why would they come here exactly?

if you compair mainstream workrate to puro or indy workrate then i would say it almost completely no existant. now if you compair it to itself then theres a few guys who still rely on workrate. but work rate by wwes level is less than average by puro standards for example.

Jeritron 07-08-2010 02:56 AM

true enough. I was curious what you meant. I thought you were comparing it to mainstream wrestlinig from years past

Destor 07-08-2010 02:56 AM

as far the subject of drawing is concern in puro, the gernerate 60,000 several, SEVERAL, times a year where as US wrestling can only draw those numbers once a year. just as one example of puro being more successful.

Jeritron 07-08-2010 02:58 AM

Probably because the craft of "fake" wrestling is respected by society in Japan, whereas it's a joke to most of society in America, or at best a silly novelty. That stigma will probably never die at this point

Destor 07-08-2010 03:00 AM

gotta love how US wrestling fans beleive the hype the wwe produces about itself...NEWS FLASH: they arent the top in the wrestling world they just say they are...and they have to lie about their figures just to fool you...

Destor 07-08-2010 03:03 AM

while i`m thinking about it AAA is drawing more than vince is right now so vince isnt even the top in north america right now lol...

this is very sadly true

Jeritron 07-08-2010 03:06 AM

I would love to go see a big event if I'm ever in Japan sometime. I really want to go to Japan anyways, but it would be on my list of things to check out if I had the chance

Destor 07-08-2010 03:11 AM

i would love to work one of the big ones...

Jeritron 07-08-2010 03:14 AM

Destor, you are the Super J Cup champion of my heart. Super Jeritron Cup

Destor 07-08-2010 03:19 AM
