I feel turned off from listening to this because Pitchfork gave it some really high rating and now a ton of white people "really like this album."

Like the production, not so much the rapping itself.

Yeah I read that Pitchfork review, it seems like they just pick certain artists to love and certain to hate and go from there. I feel like if they had felt like it they could have torn this album up.

But in all fairness it's one of the most complete and consistently good rap albums I've heard in the last 5 years. (Carter III, Madvillain, and Graduation by Kanye are others that come to mind)
