Better Wrestler All Time Records

That is probably my favourite Dean Malenko moment. Malenko comes across as one of those nearly men that WCW couldn't move on past crusierweight level and WWE didn't exactly bother to try.

Dean Malenko has my vote......against any other wrestler except Bret Hart

This is one of those instances where I wish I had a time machine to win the lottery, buy WCW, and try to make it better just for Malenko's sake.

Malenko had great submissions but still have to give it to Bret.

Well, everyone knows I am slightly Anti-Bret because I believe he sucked on the mic... However Bret is clearly the better overall talent here... Malenko is one of my fav wrestlers but his personality on the mic was made fun of by the best (not Bret)...

But I still voted Dean out of spite... Sorry I'm biased...

These are two of my favorites. I have to go with Bret Hart as he is my second favorite of all time after Sting, but I also think he was better in the ring since that's what we're judging. Let's not forget an awesome fact that Dean was #1 in the PW1 500 in 1997.

I voted for Malenko. This one was tough. Malenko had even less charisma than Bret which was hard to do......but I enjoyed the in ring work of Malenko just slightly more during the WCW cruiserweight heyday.

This matchup will answer the ever burning question, if you sit on someone's back and lift their legs in the air in diamond shape, do you stick your own leg in the middle of your opponent's legs? That's what everyone wants to know.

Both were great technicians who weren't so hot on the mic. Bret was definately the more capable talker but Malenko's feud with Jericho is one of my all time favourites so he gets the nod in this round.

The closest things involving bret were his feud with Hart around WM12 and his longtime feud with Owen. Those were both great and career making/changing.

But as far as the actual wrestling goes....my favorite wrestling match is the halloween havok Malenko vs Jericho battle.

I'd put Bret vs. Owen at Wrestlemania X up against Malenko vs. Jericho at Halloween Havoc any day.

bret vs owen was a great match fueled mostly by emotion.

The jericho vs malenko match was fueled by animosity and the element of surprise.....


so yes...they compliment each other very well and would do good in battle.

You didn't feel any antimosity in the Bret v. Owen match? It didn't need any element of surprise, because it was a compelling feud without it. I'm not trying to take anything away from Malenko and Jericho there, but Bret v. Owen was pure class.

I'm in total agreement. Both matches are in the upper echelon of sports entertainment that is for sure.

Dean Malenko and Bret Hart had some awesome matches back in the day
Bret Hart vs Mr. Perfect - summerslam 1991 is one of my all time favorite bret hart matches. Dean Malenko was a great wrestler but bret's matches were almost always at the top of the card, dean makenko's matches on the lower to mid-card. this was a tough one for me. i think that if bret would've wrestled malenko, it would of been one hell of a match, with bret winning.

I went with Dean Malenko with this one. Props to Bret and all, but Malenko is one of my all-time faves, who's ability in the ring more than made up for his lack of charisma. And size.
