If somebody wanted to trasition from fame to prowrestling (not the other way around)
 

Everybody seems to be getting roles in movies and talk show guest appearances now a days. Lashley and Lesnar have trasitioned to MMA sussessfully, Batista wants to and Angle hasnt ruled it out. Going in the other direction, would somebody "famous" be able to become a part of prowrestling long term? I'm not talking about Otunga or the Miz, I mean if Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavrick's player) or Micheal Vick (actually wrestle not what Pacman Jones did) wanted to bulk up, could they become a serious part of the WWE roster? If somebody whos MMA career is pretty much over like Kimbo Slice or Chuck Lidell wanted to transition into pro wrestling, would they be accepted?

Rampage could do it. He is tremendous on the mic. Spencer Pratt could be a great mouthpiece for someone as well.

Sure, if they have the physique. I wouldn't put it past the WWE or TNA to grab a celeb for exposure, so they'd have every opportunity to do well.

Could they main event? Long shot, as they'd always be "that guy who was a star...", but they'll have their spot.

I really want to put in names like Refrigerator Perry and Pacman Jones but we all know how that went.

Angle went from Gold medal winning Olympian to wrestling. Can't get much better than that. Then Freddie Prinze jr went and did it behind the scenes. Maybe Johnny Depp will bring back the pirate gimmick.

The list of guys who were well-known before coming to pro-wrestling is a long one. Although, wrestling is responsible for turning Kurt Angle into the national entity he is today, so I'm not sure if he's a good example (nor is Rampage, Shamrock or Kimbo).

But, if Brad Pitt wanted to become a professional wrestler or someone like Gerard Butler, I imagine that at the very least they'd garner interest...however, it'd be so weird to watch King Leonidas and Tyler Durden locking up with AJ Styles or the Miz.

There's only one guy I can think of who could pull it off without being terrible.
