Tag Teams That You Would Want To See
 

You can throw fantasy stuff in here if you want, but I'm talking mainly about the current rosters. The Tag Team division is still one of my favorite things about pro wrestling, assuming each company has the right guys putting a good face on the division. For WWE, right now its the Hart Dynasty, and for TNA, I guess it's a tie between MCMG and Beer Money.

Personally, I'm sick of seeing teams paired together because they really can't come up with anything else for them to do (see: Christian and Matt Hardy). Now there's talk of bringing MNM back, which is cool I guess but still a little weird when you've pretty much established that Morrison is in a different league than Mercury. I'd much rather see the SES skyrocket as a more threatening heel stable like old school DX with CM Punk in the HHH role, Serena as Chyna, and Gallows and Mercury as the NAO.

Anyway, all this is to say that I want to see some new tag teams, but ones that feel more natural. Most of their recent tag team pairings seemed to follow the Jerishow formula - one big guy and one small guy - (see: Archer and Hawkins, MVP and Henry, ShowMiz, Kozlov and Santino, even Khali and Hornswoggle). I want to see teams where you really get guys that complement one another in the ring somehow. Here's the list of teams I think would be cool to see in the future:


1.) Sheamus and McIntyre - This is the team I've been dying to see since McIntyre debuted. These two would get so much heat, it would almost be unfair.

2.) Ziggler and Ryder - Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to FINALLY see Ziggler in the IC title hunt , but imagine him and Ryder on a tag team. Ziggler, the modern day Mr. Perfect, and Ryder the annoying douche who thinks he's god's gift to women.

3.) Rhodes and Ryder - I honestly don't want to see Cody in another tag team anytime soon. I'm kind of digging this whole "Dashing" gimmick. But I think he and Ryder could be a good team, similar to Ziggler and Ryder.

4.) Lethal and Flair - After those promos, how could you not want to see them team up. Of course, this would all be assuming that Flair weren't tied up with The Four Horsemen / Evolution...Part 2.

I'm sure there are more but that's all I got right now.

Sheamus and McIntyre dont even have to be a tag team. Just having the two of them hang out together, and wreak havoc, would be awesome.

Still, for some reason I think that WWE is going to turn Sheamus face within the next year...the times he's come out to save Cena from NeXus are probably WWE's way of gauging how the fans react to him.

Big Show and Rey Mysterio. Big Show would just hurl/chuck/swing Rey at their foes.

Maybe this could actually make the 619 interesting again.

Somehow I thought Rey and Show had been tag team partners before...guess not.

show is out there pretending like they were lifelong friends like rey and batista did but yeah......show thru his dumb tiny asss thru a satellite truck once in wcw...fuck that noise man.

2 people that might flow well is swagger and mcintire.

If Darren Young ever shaved his head... him and Cena.

They could be called Black Magic and the White Shadow (credit to John Morrison for coming up with a name so ridiculous that it could actually work for this scenario).

1. Husky Harris & Ted DiBiase - Harris, the son of Irwin R. Schyster, and DiBiase, the son of Ted DiBiase, as the new Money Inc would be awesome.

2. Rey Mysterio & The Big Show - As already brought up, I’d love to see that team. The force and power of Show combined with the quickness and speed of Mysterio has champions written all over it.

1. Edge and Christian- Have them team back up, they can be on both shows and even be rivals at times.

2. MNM- This makes the most sense so the Hart Dynasty have some competition

Lucky Cannon/John Morrison

id like to see yoshi tatsu and evan bourne. well now that there is justin gabriel and kaval from nxt, piar yoshi and gabriel, and bourne and kaval. each has a high flyer and a kicker

I remember the satellite truck but was that Big Show or Nash that did that... Either way, it was awesome!

And you know Ryder & Ziggler might not be a bad idea... But AFTER Zig gets the IC...

Nash is the one who threw Rey live a fucking javelin into the trailer during the nWo gang attack outside the arena. Awesome to watch...

Obviously it's fantasy but a tag team between Bret and pre-offing his family Benoit would have been pretty awesome..

I'd like to see Drew McIntyre & Cody Rhodes continue their team from SmackDown!, possibly leading to a short Tag Team Title run for them.

Evan Bourne and Kaval.

Oh, and Goldust and Cody Rhodes. I've been dying to see these two pair up, and with the gimmick Rhodes has right now it would be hilarious.

It would reduce Cody to a comic role that he does NOT need at the moment.

I would much rather Cody focus his attack towards his brother and have a nice TV feud on Superstars/Smackdown.


Granted Goldy is a RAW guy I don't see the problem moving an unused undercard guy around.


Maybe in a year or 2 Cody could turn face and side with his brother but for now I am very happy with the cool cocky and DASHING side of Cody.
