and can they start as a tag in one promotion and win the Title in another promotion?

The reason why I said started off was because I wanted a real tag team (Like the Hardys) not Kane/Bigshow or Batista/Rey. I don't consider "The Brothers of Destruction" to much of a real tag team.

I believe Terry and Dory Funk jr started off as a tag team and both won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.

I know for a fact that Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch started off as a tag team and ended up winning the same versions of the NWA Heavyweight Championship in states.

I think there's been Interconental/US champions while still being a tag team, but never a world title.

No they did still have to be a tag team, like lets say Matt Hardy won the world title now. That would count.

Well, HBK and DIESEL didn't START OFF as a Tag Team, but Diesel started off as HBK's bodyguard and eventual Tag Team partner, they WERE a Tag Team for a while, were Tag Team Champions, and eventually the 2 of them won BOTH the WWF Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship...

One could count Edge & Christian now depending on how you look at it. I started watching regularly after they were already in the brood.
