I use the local Red Box at Wal Mart on occasion. This news is lame.

They're trying to "boost sales". I hope they lose money because of pissed off consumers like us.

I doubt those pissed off consumers will affect too much. The only reason they're mad is because they never had any intentions of buying the movie in the first place. Either way the studio doesn't get that money.

You should be more pissed about them putting DVDs with less extras than retail for rental. And even then it's pretty petty.

I only rent or buy Blu Ray. DVD is obsolete to me.

Blockbuster Online isn't restricted as far as I can tell. and if it is, then I can just use my free instore exchange for them since Blockbuster still gets the movies on the same date.

Just ordered a 500gb HDD to upgrade my PS3. Now I can download those Blu Ray rips and store them on the PS3. :cool:
