ECW and Japan
Did those 2 ever have a working relationship? I have seen footage of some ECW wrestlers work there in FMW. I know Mike Awesome came from there.
Does anyone know? |

Do you know of any other company's they have worked with i know they used to work with WWF in the late 90's. They sent Vic Grimes there.

ECW was actually born from FMW, as Paul Heyman saw a FMW show and took the hardcore style to ecw.

Heyman probably followed a bit of lucha libre in Mexico since he was able to sign Rey Mysterio and Psicosis from AAA but not sure if it was just him signing "free agent" wrestlers or having ECW associated with Mexican wrestling.

Believe it or not, ECW technically had a working relationship with WCW prior to the Bischoff era, with compensation coming out of a lawsuit ECW had filed in the early 90s. Long story short, Cactus Jack, Arn Anderson, Kevin Sullivan, Tully Blanchard, and a few other early WCW guys ended up in ECW over a short period of time. It ended when another lawsuit got filed, and later on had some ramifications with the whole Pillman WCW-ECW contract dispute.
