XL back with another PC problem...
 

I turn the pc on, sign in to windows, it gets as far as loading the wallpaper, then...nothing. Just stays there with the wallpaper, no icons, no task bar, no nothing.

What's going down?

If you press ctrl alt delete, do you get the task manager? If so, click file and pick run, type explorer and hit enter and see if that brigs everything up.

Failing that, best idea is to insert your Windows disc and turn your computer on and follow the prompts to tun a repair.

The above with the run + type explorer thing is the best option. Tell us what happens then.
