"Bob Kane Sucks"

It's been known that Bill Finger AND Bob Kane created Baman so listen to what this dude on Bob Kane and how he screwed Bill Finger out of his share of the credit.

Interesting stuff.

Interesting. I don't really know all the details about the origins an creation of Batman so I can't make a lot of judgment but its something to consider. This is something that seems to happen often with comic books tho. I met Gary Friedrich (co-creator of Ghost Rider) a few years ago and he was all bitter and pissed about the Ghost Rider movie. He said at a Q&A he was suing but I don't know if he ever went through with it.

The character has gone through so many stories and incarnations over the years that's it's hard for anyone to claim responsibility anyways.

I think whether Kane or Finger created the character, and which movie version they prefer is all inconsequential.
It belongs to the fans and whatever writers DC/Warner Bros. employ. That's the nature of comic book properties and most franchises in general.
Very rarely do you see one person get full credit and control over something like Lucas or Tolkein.
So many later Batman stories are superior to the original material anyways.

I'm sure he's right about Bob Kane saying anything Batman was fabulous. He always just seemed like an old fart who was happy to have his character being made into a show, movie, whatever.

Also, Batman is a genius character and one of my favorites of alltime, but it was pretty standard and simple in it's time. It's the mythology that evolved and got expounded upon over the decades that makes it great.

Bill Finger's Batman.

Doesn't sound that well.

There's lots of stories like this throughout the history of comics. Like Spider-Man, where it's claimed Stan Lee actually had very little to do with creating the character.

Either way, that guy needs to get over it. What's the point of slagging off a dead man for the sake of another dead guy?

Is this guy a relative of Bill Finger? Otherwise why should he care?
