Seriously, I know there was better out there. But I fucking miss the guy! Hopes he brings a 2nd attitude era one day.... My god crowds were hot, angles were hot... jesus christ. Miss them.

Shane was the man. His matches against Test and Angle are two of my all-time favorites.

Athleticly he was amazing, at 6'2'' 240 he could do corkscrew moonsaults and shooting star presses.

It never felt that he was only there because he was Vinnie's son. He was a great worker.

She did that while she was in development, which at the time was Ohio IIRC.

That shit he did in the Big Show match was insane!

He had great matches in the early 2000's.

That chokeslam he took at KOTR 2000 was insane, but pales in comparison to the spots in the Big Show and Blackman matches.

Total bump machine, his match with Test was super underrated.

One of the greatest bumps was from that vid Fox posted was the "perfectionism" at 2:31. That clip was edited down, but Angle tried to suplex him through the glass more times than that and it wasn't breaking. He took about 5 total suplexes in the full spot, and that last part where Kurt throws him through was more of a "fuck it!" tactic. And Shane took it like a champion.

It's amazing what all Shane-O has done over the years. Before they publicized their names for awhile, I remember first seeing him as a ref... and it wasn't angle related, he was a legit zebra. He's worked as an announcer (a proficient heel one at that), a manager, and as a wrestler. The thing was, he wasn't shabby at any of them either. Hell, he probably even worked ring crew, coffee gopher, and then whatever office job he had for the company earlier on (I would have said ring announcer, but those were Linda and The Fink... but hell, they probably gave him a couple of gos at house shows).

Everyone remembers the diving elbows and the fact that he was the first to pull off the Van Terminator in a larger ring, but it's easy to bypass the everything else. He's a natural at the entertainer's SIDE OF THE business as a whole. It was like he went out there and was saying to the boys in the back "this is how you do it", but not in that condecenting way- think more "leadership by example".

I love how nobody has mentioned his WM15 match against X-Pac. :lol:

That match was good too, but there was so much other shit going on in it. The build to the match was amazing though.

Shane was awesome. I hope that he returns someday and takes some more major bumps. I doubt that he will, but it would be amazing.
