Favorite Submission Holds
Again, I don't know if this thread has been done before, probably has, but I was reading about the LeBell Lock on WWE.com, and looking at the history of Gene LeBell and pictures of the hold, it looks pretty painful. So now my question is, what submission holds do you consider your favorite and why?

Probably my favourite would be the abdominal stretch, always looks painful. But i could list quite a few others to.

The Cattle Mutilation is cool looking, but it doesn't look too painful. It looks more uncomfortable than anything else. |
It's a shame Cattle Mutilation isn't the finish, but the LeBell Lock is actually the better submission hold. Mostly because it looks VICIOUS. That and anything that gives respect to wrestling history and mma history is a huge plus.

Back in WCW Sgt. Pitbull Pitman used "code red" the cross armbreaker, or an arm bar. It's the best submission there is because it can break your arm in less than a second. The more basic the hold the better. I'd also like to see somebody use a knee bar in WWE, but thank you Alberto Del Rio for using my favorite hold, and doing it well.
Also gotta give major props to The Undertaker for nailing the gogaplata, awesome maneuver and so random for him to use. And if anyone would ever use a legit triangle choke that would be sick too. |

The Scorpion Deathlock/Sharpshooter will alway be my favorite submission hold. It looks (and is) extremely painful, it's the type of submission that can be "played with" in a dramatic sense (bottom guy crawling desperately for the ropes while top guy scrunches up his face in desperation), it's been used by two of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and I used to put my friends in it all the time in grade school.

Sharpshooter Tazmission Dragon Sleeper Rings of Saturn mostly because of instead of locking the face, your locking the arms and then pulling back. Ankle Lock when used with a grapevine hold since it prevents the other person from moving around and making it look weaker than without the grapevine lock. |
