PWInsider.com has confirmed that Christian suffered a torn pectoral muscle and is expected to be out six months following surgery this week. WWE will write Christian out this week on Smackdown during an angle with Alberto Del Rio.

Damn that sucks but it should really add to Alberto Del Rio and him being an all around bad ass.

This probably takes him out of the equation for Mania, unless he returns in time to start some kind of feud.
Hopefully with Edge

He'll pull an Edge and win the Rumble. :shifty:

On the other hand... all of the WWE's top stars are dudes who get consistently injured and sidelined for months.... so... perhaps things are looking up for Christian!

Would love it if he could rehab quicker though and possibly slip in under the wire for WM XXVII but I don't know how likely that would be at this point in time.

He could win MITB and become WHC that way.

You all have too much faith in wwe. First feud back will be with Dolph or somebody. They hate on the leader of the peepulation.

But seriously, he is my favorite wrestler, and the older you get, the harder it is to recover. He deserved a title run (I think so anyway) back in 05, because he was so over.

Now... don't see him ever winning with this injury. Hope this time next year he is healthy and champion.

And wouldn't be shocked if he is drafted to RAW by then... it seems that they like to move injured stars to the other show. IE Kennedy. Others as well.

I hope to God he isn't drafted to Raw. He'll be relegated back to superstars.

This isn't all that bad. I don't think he's suffered such an injury before, so his body may be good to recover at a quick rate. And don't forget, working TNA's schedule for the years he was there no doubt added years onto his career.

Hopefully he gets inserted into SmackDown's main event when he's back.

Oh well that sucks. hope he'll recover quick and finally get his push to the main event and win a damn belt.

They should really put out a Christian DVD. Of all the matches he's been part of, and all the great moments he has had over the years -- something like that would be snatched up by someone like me in a micro-second.
