Randal Keith Upset

...with his babyface role, according to sources. Didn't see a thread about it, so I thought I'd drop one in to get people's thoughts. He feels like he's a natural heel.

I say boody-fucking-hoo to Randy. He's the most over performer in the company, and the SCSA of this generation right now. Roll with it.

SlickyTrickyDamon 09-25-2010 03:14 AM

I clicked on this because I didn't know who the hell Randy Keith was lol. I don't like him as a face either. I liked him much more as the Lord Voldermort of the WWE and I think putting the title on him right now is a mistake.

This. I don't really buy his face character especially just doing not much but hitting RKO's out of anywhere

Mr. Nerfect 09-25-2010 04:10 AM

I don't like heel Orton. At the right time and the right place he is good, but it's time for him to roll with the motions and be a face. The fans essentially turned him, and the WWE actually listening to the fans is such a rarity that I am enjoying his current run.

As a performer, you have to do what the company asks of you. Triple H always thought he was a natural heel, and was reluctant to become a babyface, but he took the hit for the company and four years later he was still playing the same babyface character.

Maybe Orton feels the pressure is on him to deliver more as a top face, but I think if he just rolls with it he will surprise himself. Heel Orton really doesn't have a place in the current scene, in my opinion. At least not for quite a few months.

James Steele 09-25-2010 04:16 AM

Randy Orton needs to pull his head out of his ass and be happy he is where he is, because if it wasn't for his Daddy and Grandfather he wouldn't be there.

Rammsteinmad 09-25-2010 04:47 AM

Carlito.

Damian Rey 09-25-2010 04:51 AM

I think he's still scarred from his 04 face run. He went from being the hottest guy on the roster to being booked as Triple H's personal jobber and then shipped off to SmackDown!. It took years for the character to recover and rise back to prominence.

But, at the same time, the fans turned him face, and to the writing's credit, his character has stayed intact. Sure, the RKOs are getting a little ridiculous, but the crowd's popping hot for them and are going to do so till he gets stale.

I have no doubt that he's going to run with it, as I can't see what he can do to this point that's going to turn the fans on him.

BizarroKing 09-25-2010 10:13 AM

He's getting a big push. I say just go with it.

Schlomey 09-25-2010 11:01 AM

I read that, too. Honestly I call bullshit. Why? Because regardless he is totally over with EVERY audience and is the flagbearer for the largest wrestling company in the world.

I just have trouble wrapping my mind around this. I will assume that it is just a slow "news" week and somebody took a statement out of context and posted it as "news".

You said the name of he who must not be named. Now you will get punt kicked.

CSL 09-25-2010 11:07 AM

If any of you think Orton is actually 'unhappy' with being a face despite being on top/having the belt/being the most over guy in the company, you're a clown. He's saying he prefers being a heel, nothing more, nothing less, a bunch of different WWE guys say the same type of stuff all the time. Guys on that level don't worked up about what 'affiliation' they are, that's what people on the internet are for.

Eklipse 09-25-2010 11:12 AM

I dont see Randy as a babyface. I see him as a hybrid face and heel who happens to be a fan favorite.

blake639raw 09-25-2010 12:04 PM

He's more over now than he's ever been. He's not turning back anytime soon.

Of course he would. It's not like he's Ted Dibiase Jr or Cody Rhodes or Joe Hennig where their fathers were pretty big stars in wrestling. Bob Orton was a glorified jobber. In fact, Bob Orton would probably not even be in the WWE Hall Of Fame if it weren't for his son.

Next Big Thing 09-25-2010 02:28 PM

Orton doesn't like playing a heel because he isn't capable of playing a straight face. He's a one trick pony, granted he does that trick very well. I think he's the WWE's top heel and trying to turn him into a smiling face is stupid on WWE's part. He's not like Hunter who can go from being a goofy t- shirt throwing DX member to the cerebral assassin. Orton's limited in his range.

I dont think they will push him to be a straight face....perhaps a face with heel qialities, like scsa.
I dont think they will shove him down our throats either, as they learned their lesson (hopefully) with Cena. *I know u didnt say anything like that, just stating it as a side note*

Narc, Triple H is very happy where he is and doesn't throw a bitch fit on National Television like RKO.

McLegend 09-25-2010 04:02 PM

Cowboy Bob Orton (Randy's dad) is in the WWE hall of fame.

Orton throwing bitch fits on camera is perfectly fine with me. Orton is the man he can do whatever he wants.

Please, are you saying Bob Orton carried Randy Orton during that time?

So what? That doesn't mean anything. Koko B. Ware, Bob Uecker, Peter Rose, and William Perry are in it too.

McLegend 09-25-2010 05:33 PM

I could have sworn someone said he wasn't in the hall of fame. I was merely pointing out that he in fact was in the Hall of Fame.

That's big talk coming from a Triple H fan

James Steele 09-26-2010 12:03 PM

Triple H doesn't throw bitchfits about blown spots. Triple H is a true classy professional. Triple H has never shit in a bag (but he did fuck Chyna).

Mr. Nerfect 09-27-2010 08:51 AM

Triple H is an amazing talent, but come on James -- he definitely shit in some bags in his time.

Innovator 09-27-2010 09:20 AM

One of my top 3 favorite chants was when the front row at a RAW chanted "you screwed Chyna" at HHH

Anything involving HHH is pretty awesome in most cases, whether you like the man or not.

Let me rephrase:Anything involving HHH that I saw at the time is mostly impressive. They didn't air WWE from 2001-2002 in India.
