When I saw that they were remaking this, I was like.."John Waynes rolling over in his grave now I bet".

Im not 100% sold on Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn, but everything else looks surprisingly good. I guess the fact the Coen Bros are behind it kind of ensured from the start that it wouldn't be terrible but I still had some reservations before seeing this trailer.

El Vaquero de Infierno 09-28-2010 04:59 AM

No No No No No No No

CSL 09-28-2010 03:16 PM

That's a good trailer.

Don't fuck with The Duke

VSG 09-29-2010 01:31 AM

Like I said before, Matt Damon is all I needed to convince this is worth the cinema tickets.

James Steele 09-29-2010 02:24 AM

Why can't they remake Lean On Me?

http://www.impawards.com/1989/posters/lean_on_me.jpg

Maybe its just because I am going into education, but I love this fucking movie.

DaveBrawl 09-29-2010 10:36 PM

Looks like it should be a good movie, but Jeff Bridges is no John Wayne. He doesn't inspire the same feeling Wayne does.

Buzzkill 09-29-2010 10:37 PM

This is going to be amazing. Can't wait.

Blue Demon 12-28-2010 02:41 PM

I saw this today and it was freakin awesome!

Requiem 12-28-2010 03:19 PM

Good and accurate remake for the most part, but I expected them to do a little more with it. Dunno.

Confused 12-28-2010 06:05 PM

Can't wait till this comes out.

Love westerns and I love the Coen brothers' movies.

It will have to go some way to replacing Unforgiven as my favourite Western though.

Confused 12-28-2010 06:06 PM

To those who've seen it, soundtrack any good?

OssMan 12-28-2010 07:58 PM

Yeah the music is amazing. As the credits rolled I just sat there while all my friends got up and left :'(

PapaGeorgio 12-28-2010 11:24 PM

Just got back from it, I enjoyed it. Soundtrack was enjoyable, nothing overly amazing to me, but enjoyable.

Just watched the trailer for the original film, was surprised to see a lot of the same dialogue and scenes in both. Especially from a 3 minute trailer. Based on the 1969 Trailer, def see me liking this new one more. Like the tone a lot more, takes itself a bit more serious it seems. May check out the original one day though.

Vastardikai 12-28-2010 11:30 PM

Rooster Cogburn is awesome: He's the only character that can be a Pirate and a Cowboy at the same time.

YOUR Hero 12-30-2010 09:10 PM

Looks good

Mooияakeя™ 12-30-2010 10:49 PM

U know that's the beauty of doing something right. I was never a big westerns fan, but since I played Red Dead Redemption, I really want to look into it more.

This looks good and I shall pick up for defo.

OssMan 12-30-2010 10:53 PM

The guy who plays Tom Cheney looks exactly like Red Dead Revolver.

Buzzkill 12-30-2010 11:24 PM

Very solid. Not mindblowing, but very good still. Doesn't crack my top 5 westerns, maybe not even my top 10, still loved it though.

Schlomey 01-02-2011 12:00 AM

Dyin' to see this one.

Nowhere Man 01-02-2011 08:23 PM

I really liked it. Not the best western I've ever seen, nor is it the best Coen Brothers movie by a longshot, but it's still a really good and entertaining movie. The main three characters were all a real hoot to watch, the lead girl in particular.

Emperor Smeat 01-03-2011 12:25 AM

I liked it and even though it was a bit slow in the beginning, it's still a good film.

Triple A 01-04-2011 05:46 PM

It was pretty good. Didn't really feel like a Coen brothers movie that much though. Was probably "their most 'mainstream' movie" I think. Pretty good htough, I enjoyed.

It's Josh Brolin if that helps

El Fangel 01-05-2011 07:49 AM

And the charcters name is John Marston.

VSG 01-05-2011 11:48 AM

Going to watch this soon, feeling optimistic now.

Evil Vito 01-05-2011 08:27 PM

Saw this today, liked it a lot. I rarely go to movies now unless they look awesome, and this certainly delivered. Great jobs by all 3 main characters.

VSG 01-06-2011 09:20 AM

Good god, I loved this film even more than I thought I would. Mighty impressed by the girl actor.

Bo 01-19-2011 12:05 PM

Loved it. Jeff Brideges is the man.
