I went to see if the ring ropes were red during the first Nexus attack but it was white then as well. I think the transition took place post WM26.

To blend in with Sheamus' skin tone would be my guess.

Too much bleach.

Red - Top Rope
White - Middle Rope
Blue - Bottom Rope

The ropes are white because you touch yourself at night.

Same here. For something so important in the show, it kind of largely goes unnoticed. At least for Dave and myself.

I noticed, because I associate the white ropes with "special" events. I noticed that they changed when NXT dropped the white ropes in favour of yellow ropes. I thought it was cool that RAW would have red, SmackDown! would have blue and NXT would have yellow. Alas -- RAW had white, and I just didn't understand it.

RAW should be red. NXT should have yellow. SmackDown! should have blue. White should be saved for three-hour RAWs or special events.

Agreed. Could it be that white look better in HD?

yeah, maybe the red was too bright/distracting in HD. Maybe they got complaints
