What were some significant wrestling headlines from 2007-2010?
Fill me in. I just heard that Umaga died.
Who else died during this time? Any scandals? Future endeavours? Fuck, I just started watching wrestling again around summer 2010. Didn't realize how much (3 years) I missed. I can usually tell the differences/developments in each year, but between 2007-2010, it's all a huge blur. |
Benoit is dead, Eddie Guerrero is dead, Mike Awesome is dead, The Wrestling Industry is also dead.
|
Chris Kanyon died earlier this year, Test died last year
|
Off the top of my head, other than the guys already mentioned, other deaths were: Lance Cade, Captain Lou Albano, Bam Bam Bigelow, Earthquake, Luna Vachon
|
Oh yeah, and TNA tried to move to Monday Nights against Raw.
Failed miserably. |
WCW was resurrected.
It's now called TNA. |
Mr. Anderson told Randy Orton that he was to be the next WWE champion. He was fired the next day I believe. He is now number 1 (of 3) contender for the TNA World title.
|
Hardy got fired, then arrested, then joined TNA and is now in top contention for the world title.
|
CM Punk is a 3 time world champion <3
|
Shawn Michaels retired.
|
Adam Evans got his first fan.
|
Cena won....alot.
|
Rick Flair retired n then went to work for TNA Sheamus became first irish born heavyweight champion...
|
FELLA!
|
A ton of guys got suspended for steroids after Benoit died...
Yet Cena was never one of them |

Scott Hall went to rehab, and then back to TNA, and then back to rehab, and then was out, and then went back to rehab.
Ditto for X-Pac |
Kurt Angle went to TNA in late 2006.
His wife, Karen Angle began appearing on TV. Karen Angle filed for divorce and got it. Karen Angle started banging Jeff Jarrett. Karen Angle became Karen Jarrett. |
Braden Walker debuted on ECW.

his brother gained 50 |
Ric Flair's pride died... so he went to TNA where he does cool skits like chugging Smirnoff Ice on one knee with 30 year old dudes surrounding him and cheering him on....
Mick Foley thought fans still wanted to see him wrestle, so he went to TNA... |
The Cruiserweight Championship was sadly retired in 2008.
This was the last champion.... SPOILER: show |
Jericho punched HBK's wife in the mouth.
Johnny Nitro is now John Morrison. The Miz turned out to be good. Bobby Lashley left for MMA/TNA. Khali won the World title. Umaga died. JR got removed from announcing. |
Chris Benoit killed his family and kills himself, after that he doesn't get mentioned anywhere.
Hulk Hogan got divorced, got skint, hosted American Gladiators, got depressed, nearly killed himself and ending up in TNA. Ric Flair retired again...then fucks of to TNA and wrestles again. TNA went to Monday nights and flopped. The Miz is awesome. Chris Jericho saved us...but not for long. Booker T became a King then putting on a Jamaican accent. Kurt Angle went to TNA only to get headbutted by Samoa Joe (or the other way round..i forgot). can't think of anything else. |
Wasn't Booker's accent meant to be some kind of African accent?
|
something like that it was. i think he spoke jive.
|
Vince McMahon "died". Only to come back next week to announce Chris Benoit's passing.
John Coachman left. But found his calling on ESPN. Hogan's daughter sucks at singing, his son sucks at driving. |

In reality, Booker was just trying to imitate Regal's voice to achieve an "English accent". |
Trump hosted a commercial free Raw after buying it from Vince...only to sell it back a week later
Main Event Mafia formed Hogan killed TNA by getting rid of the six sided ring Christian returned but was relegated to midcarder...again No one cared about Abraham Washington (can I get a Tony Atlas laugh on that 1?) ECW died...again DX reformed...and became shit thanks to Little Bastard CM Punk started a cult Daniel Bryan lost |
