So why exactly did Flair choose to leave WWE for TNA?
 

Was it so he can work with AJ Styles?

Was it because he wasn't happy that he didn't get a bigger role for Wrestlemania?

Was it because he was always a NWA faithful and he wanted to finish his career for NWA/TNA?

Seems like it was a mutual decision/didn't burn his bridges with Vince

Yeah, I stopped watching wrestling from 2007-late 2010, so I don't know what the general opinion on this was amongst the internet wrestling community.

Was Triple H supportive of this move?

Seems like Flair was better off ending his career in WWE. Now it looks like he's tarnishing his legacy by taking a "step down" by joining TNA.

I also heard that it was Hulk Hogan who convince Flair to join TNA.

...I think it was because WWE "gently" forced him to retire, and then made him a WWE ambassador, paying him like $500,000 but he then decided to walk away from that position (and money) because he got "the itch" to wrestle again.

I think he said he "wasn't ready to retire". Seeing him on TNA I think he looks sooooooooooo old I think he's closer death than a legit retirement.

I never thought I'd see the day where Ric Flair would be losing his golden locks, and Hulk Hogan would have lost his pythons...it's sad, really. I know no one can tell u when to hang it up and stuff, that it's a personal decision, but still...

Promote the WWE overseas, promote WWE PPV's and Special Events, do autograph signings, interviews, etc.

I think they wrestled on Hulk's Hulkamania Tour of Australia before either joined TNA.

Honestly, I believe Vince was wrong to force Flair to "retire." It's really up to the man himself to retire or not. But at least Flair is not wrestling as much, as he's really more of a mentor to guys like AJ Styles and Frankie Kazarian that occasionally wrestle.

Vince may have made some odd/strange/wrong decisions in his time, but telling Flair that "enough is enough" wasn't one of them.

I wonder if Paul Levesque is jealous of AJ Styles, because of Flair's man love being with someone else now

TNA is no longer part of the NWA, so that didn't figure in.

Money issues and always having that urge to wrestle or put on a show in the ring.

I believe the money issues occurred due to his marriages never lasting long enough and he was never any good at saving or setting aside money for retirement. Some wrestlers, ex. Jericho, knew how to save money for the time when they knew they would stop wrestling or would need a break instead of always having to wrestle to earn a paycheck.

I think he went coz he was either skint or bored.
