Make They in TNA actually Surprising.

We all know its going to another flop no one cares about. So the only thing I could think of to make it an actual big reveal would be.....

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/0cSIiap8LLI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/0cSIiap8LLI?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;color1=0x2b405b&amp;color2=0x6b8ab6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

So tell me people how would you make the reveal actually worth while.

Aguakate 10-04-2010 05:21 PM

I'm not saying he is going this is purely a hypothetical situation. Because the reveal is just going to suck ass.

Doc Brown 10-04-2010 05:31 PM

If that's the case, and it's been beaten to death. Why ask again?

Destro 2.0 10-04-2010 05:32 PM

Who would reveal that would actually turn heads in TNA?

The Pope 10-04-2010 05:35 PM

We know who "they" is. Why make a thread again?

No one is guessing I am saying make it your best to make it surprising not just a joke like TNA is going to make it.

SlickyTrickyDamon 10-04-2010 06:05 PM

There has been too many attempts to have "mystery" reveals in TNA already. So, I don't think anything that they can do will turn heads.

This is the same type of fly-by-night booking that got WCW in the trouble that it did in 1999-2001. If something isn't working they stop it immedietally and then replace the person who writes it with somebody else. Spend all the money in production and promos to create a "Seven"-like character for Dustin Rhodes only for him to ditch the gimmick and then be his father's son again eliminating the years it took for him to get out of his father's shadow witn Goldust. Good going WCW! :)

TNA has for years always been about "who is the next guy we're gonna get from the WWE." In 2005 Christian left for the company and was the heavyweight champion and the star of the company. That all changed when they signed Kurt Angle and then Christian was put out to the pasture. They also brought in Rhino to feud with Christian because they were friends in WWE. When Kurt Angle came AJ Styles was also made into a joke character and forced to wear a crown and be a prince. The only difference is that AJ didn't leave after being pushed out of the main event

Back to adding WWE guys they then signed team 3D.Then they also went out and got Bobby Lashley who didn't last long because he knew that MMA was where the real money lied if it was talented enough to last in it. Then the ultimate in trying to act like WWE: Hulk Hogan. Hogan and everybody else from the old attitude era/2002-2005 WWE. RVD, Jeff hardy, Shannon Moore, Orlando Jordan, the Nasty Boys. They also then decided to move to Monday Nights, but that didnt work so they changed quickly back to Thursdays.

First they chose the wrong time to try to start on Mondays. It was during the Road to Freaking Wrestlemania. They also switched the start time of Impact a few times during that set up which was confusing as all hell. I really liked TNA on at 8pm so I could see the first hour and then watch Raw and flip back and forth at the 9-10 hour. I'm not going to be watching Impact on Thursday Nights when the Office and the great NBC comedies are on.

TNA has always been about what is coming next instead of planning on using what they have. Bischoff said he didn't like the term "homegrown" talent when referring to people like the TNA originals. He said that they were wrestlers not fruits or vegetables. Bischoff must not understand that homegrown talent is a sports term in good standing.

It means that people you create a cheaper to sign and keep than people you buy on the market. Heyman made a great point about the New York Yankees. When they were actually winning all of those World Series rings they were using pretty much homegrown talent (Posada, Jeter, Riveria.) They stopped winning (except for last year) when they tried to buy everybody instead of investing for the future.

Right now on the Yankees the best player on the team (in my opinion) is Robinson Cano. Homegrown talent!

The best players on the Red Sox before they got hurt were Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youklis: HOMEGROWN TALENT! Their best pitchers are Jon Lester and Clay Bucholtz, HOMEGROWN TALENT!

Grow new stars TNA don't buy them.

So true TNA is all about wasting money faster than they can earn it. There PPV buyrates are just fucking terrible and alls they can focus on is who can they bring in next and noone even cares when they bring them in. Like when Tommy Dreamer just sat in the bleachers. What did that lead to just another angle where they hold down there Homegrown talent.

Yeah, but then it will be all back four days later. When they set up the super duper surprise for the next ppv.

bigslimjj 10-04-2010 08:20 PM

It's still gonna be better than ROH Destro, a.k.a....Meg Griffin.

Vastardikai 10-04-2010 08:22 PM

You want something surprising? Here's the "They".

What, I didn't say it was going to be a good surprise...

Steveviscious89 10-04-2010 08:24 PM

Even though I don't appreciate mindless insult throwing, this is an interesting topic. Everyone seems to think that Bischoff and Hogan are 'they', which would seem to be the logical choice and anything other than that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense. But who know's really. I really want to know what Bischoff's plan is overall for TNA.

DLVH84 10-04-2010 08:34 PM

I would've said Bill Watts, so he can remove the mats from ringside.

itsmeJD 10-04-2010 08:37 PM

This is a fucking no brainer...."They" is "Evil" Tony Schavonie's man tits, and it WILL be the greatest night, in the history of our great sport. That is all.

KingofOldSchool 10-04-2010 08:40 PM

It'll be Mike Adamle, Jeff Harvey, Bret "The Hitman" Clark, and El Dandy.

...Hmm...oddly enough, TNA HAS been in talks with Mexican Company AAA about bringing in some of their guys...so who knows if THEY are the ones.

I've already said that El Zorro from AAA will be in a stable with Abyss. But good that you bring it up again. Maybe this time it will stick to Destro.

" They " Revealed -Spoiler Alert-

SPOILER: show

Source: The Pro Wrestling Torch and the copy and paste king himself

TNA Wrestling officials are hopeful that the disclosure of “They” at Bound for Glory will hook a number of fans to purchase the pay-per-view event. The widespread assumption amongst the TNA locker room is that “They” will be revealed as a combination of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and possibly Jeff Jarrett.

Though D’Angelo Dinero cut what was described as a ‘heelish promo’ on Thursday’s iMPACT!, many believe he, Sting and Kevin Nash will turn babyface once “They” is revealed.

Of course, nothing is confirmed and anything can change between now and TNA Bound for Glory.
