Wrestlers on the 'roids
Okay, so which past/present workers do you think have been/are on steroids?
I say Steiner does them and that Lesnar has. Here's why I say that... Both have 'roid bellies. I've got a friend who's into bodybuilding, so he knows quite a bit about it. He also knows guys who have used steroids, though he never has himself. He said what happens is that when a person take 'roids for a long period, it affects their whole body. Muscles aren't the only thing that increase in size. The intestines and inner organs also do. It forces the abdominal wall out and the person gets a belly similar to a "beer" belly. The only difference is that with a 'roid belly there is still definition in the abdominal muscles and they can actually be quite defined despite the bulging belly. The situation is even more pronounced if the person has used a growth hormone. The 'roid belly is something that is widely known about in bodybuilder circles. It is one of those things that are "overlooked" in bodybuilding competitions unless the competition is a drug-free one. Drug free competitions are only open to those who have never used a performance enhancing drug. So, you'll never see a body-builder with a 'roid belly in those competitions. Anyway, back on topic, both Steiner and Lesnar have a 'roid belly (Steiner's is far more pronounced). I am pretty convinced that Lesnar has used and think Steiner still does. Despite the popular rumors, I'm not sure if Triple H does. He's body has changed since his quad injury, but that could mean it's his diet. |
Or that he's on roids
|
You do know that steroids make muscle tissue softer right? That would explain the quad tear.
|
Yeah, that's why in pro sports, huge guys that are always nicked up or on the DL are looked at as being possible steroid users.
I'm not a big fan of speculation though. Steroids are illegal. But wrestlers who use them don't really get an unfair advantage; the results are still predetermined. So as far as I'm concerned, if they want to kill themselves for the sake of more muscle mass, that's their business. |
I wonder if Hulk Hogan ever used.

Many, many wrestlers use steroids I bet, or, at least, used them before the big steroid scandal.
|
Rey? I need a serious answer. Because I heard he did it in WCW
|
9/10ths of the WWE roster. Everyone in the 80s.

When Rey came back following knee surgery in WCW, he had already packed on more weight. But as he gained mass, he lost definition. That is not an indicator of steroids. I would say, more than likely, it was one of two things. The first idea is that he changed his diet and started ingesting larger amounts of food, not paying attention to things like fat, carbs, and sugars which caused him to gain fat as well as size. The other idea is that he started using Creatine. Using Creatine can aid in weight gain. But the weight doesn't come on as all muscle mass. Fat is gained as well and it also causes the body to retain water.

Lex Luger.
Scott Hall? Or is that just a beer belly? |
I think dink was on roids

And the #1 Obvious User Of Roids Is....
Satan Himself...Vince McMahon |
I would say obviously:
Rick Rude British Bulldog - I remember he used to be big in the mid 80's, but in the 90's, he was phenomenal!!!! Mr.Perfect Nowadays, i would say u'd be very naive to think that not at 1/3rd use them nowadays in the wwe. Sad part about wrestling really, very much a catch 22 situation. |
Trust me, I have done weight training and every kind of diet under the sun. I have also spoken to others who are very much into the weight training lifestyle and wrestlers who have worked the old WWE 300 day a year schedule and practically every single on of them says the same thing. You can't maintain bodies like pro wrestlers do on the schedule they have where you can't keep a regular diet without body enhancements (either steroids or HGH). Some of these people have admitted to doing one or the other (or both) so they know first hand.
For the record, the only wrestler who I have heard come out publically say they don't do steroids and I believe them is Lance Storm. Wrestlers are lucky to get 4 gym visits a week with their schedules and going to the gym for 2 hours everyday is impossible. Muscles need time to relax or they tear. Steroids relax muscles quicker allowing more time in gyms. Let's put it this way, if anyone in the WWE is over 6ft and has a better built body then Lance Storm then I'd say it's 95% certain they are on something. Don't even bother insulting my intellegence by saying they have great diets or they use body supplements because they just don't produce the results these guys are getting. On most subjects, I'd be more than happy to debate back and forth. Not on this one though. Choose to believe what you like but if you debate this then you either need to open your eyes to reality or confess you are simply ignorant. |
