Favorite WrestleMania logo/theme/city/set-up etc...

I'm not talking about the best card or matches. I'm talking about the design, city, theme song, set-up (outdoor, indoor, etc), and logo.

PPV logo/banner:
Theme Song(s):
Set-up:
City:

Also, what are some new places you'd like to see them hold an event, that hasn't been done before? They haven't done anywhere international yet, have they?

QUESTION: Which WrestleMania holds the attendance record out of all of them?

Check this out...

24 and 26.

26 was tight with the pyramid set and the drop down in ring lighting rig. Not the best theme by far but otherwise yea.

Good thread!

The Naitch 10-08-2010 10:15 PM

Also, LOL at the old theme song they used to use back then. Linda McMahon used it as her theme song

The Naitch 10-08-2010 10:17 PM

Love it how they pretty much rip off "Califonia Love" on this one..

One of my favorite themes:

funny how you can barely read the 2. Looks like a big red dot.

I don't know whether it's because it was Austin vs. Rock, but this theme was so hype for WrestleMania

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/l1UsNubhZsQ?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/l1UsNubhZsQ?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

I used to always smoke weed and just watch the Austin/Rock match over and over again. Could be the weed that made me so hyped up for X7. I dunno bro

The Naitch 10-08-2010 10:30 PM

They tried to give it the same feel with 19. Same Rock vs. Austin match. Same band doing the theme song

...Amazing that aside from WrestleMania 23, the WWE hasn't changed the basic wording style they use for writing WRESTLEMANIA, except the colors, obviously.

The Naitch 10-08-2010 10:40 PM

WrestleMania 26's theme was tight. Mad hype. Also, not your typical hard rock style that WWE tends to use.

"I Made It" Kevin Rudolf ft. Birdman, Lil' Wayne & Jay Sean

and WM2000

Nicky Fives 10-08-2010 11:06 PM

17 had the best setup, 10 & 20 had the best logos

The Naitch 10-08-2010 11:11 PM

Yeah I think X7 was the first time in a long time that they went back to a "Big arena" feel for WrestleMania

Prior to this, the last time they had the "Big arena" feel was Skydome for WM8

I think they made an exception for 23 because they wanted it to resemble and automotive company logo, since it was in Detroit. Just thought of that now, actually :shifty:

Also WM2000 is different too. Went for the Matrix look, plus with all the Y2K buzz around. Green and Black, takin' it DX_style

If u look at every other letter except "W" on the WrestleMania 2000 logo, it's the same style. It's crazy they've kept it forever.

Eklipse 10-09-2010 12:01 AM

wrestlemania 24 is possibly my favorite setup.

JimmyMess 10-09-2010 11:22 AM

I have to say WrestleMania 17. I remember ordering it on pay-per-view with my buddy, and when they showed just how ridiculously over-the-top it was, it just boggled my mind. I thought it was fantastic.

The Undertaker literally racing down the ramp on his motorcycle because it was so long was phenomenal. It just added to the fact that this was a bigger-than-life spectacle.

It has been repeated since then with the huge entrance way, but that first time, for me at least, put WM 17 as the end-all be all of it.

Schlomey 10-09-2010 11:23 AM

I hated Biker Taker and that damn motorcycle.

MoFo 10-09-2010 11:33 AM

23. That Titantron was amazing.

I agree with 'My Way' being the perfect theme for Mania X7 though, I loved that PPV.

Schlomey 10-09-2010 11:34 AM

still think the pyramid set at WM 26 was fucking sick.

I actually feel he was a better wrestler during that era.

I liked his Big Evil incarnation a whole lot more than his American Badass persona plus looking back at W17 I'm thankful for the gimmick/bike if he had bean any incarnation of the dead man during that mania they wouldve had to add an extra hour for his entrance to the arena.

Schlomey 10-09-2010 02:23 PM

Just some of the matchups he had during that time period would have/ could have been more memorable if he was in his traditional Undertaker gimmick. However, I do approve of the concept of changing with the times. I think it was wise timing for such a change I just didn't personally care for it looking back.

Aguakate 10-09-2010 02:29 PM

Call me old fashined, but I loved the setup for WrestleMania 10 and 20, both at MSG. Nothing crazy, nothing too elaborate, but I guess just the feeling of having WrestleMania at MSG, was more than enough.

Schlomey 10-09-2010 02:30 PM

MSG, set wise, has never done anything for me. However, the feeling in MSG is a feeling that anything can happen.

Aguakate 10-09-2010 02:32 PM

Exactly, that's what I meant. Just the whole "vibe" of having the biggest show of the year at Madison Square Garden, gives the show a whole other feeling that no setup can give.

BizarroKing 10-09-2010 08:55 PM

23 and 26 had awesome themes! 18 wasn't bad and 10-14 was very nostalgic so it's a good one.
I think 21 was a cool venue with the hollywood theme...

Shisen Kopf 10-09-2010 10:49 PM

I've been to 3 manias so my favs are 18, 23 and 24

Jeritron 10-10-2010 02:29 AM

I think 24 probably had the coolest looking set and logo. The outdoor setting, the entrance way, the tropical theme, and the orange ropes with the canope were all top.
Visually, it was just a great looking event. Plus the show itself was great, so that helps.

Favorite city? That's hard to say. I guess I'll go with Chicago since that's my favorite city in general. Or Boston since it's my hometown. Or NYC since it's in MSG.
All 3 of those towns had hot as hell crowds too.

DAMN iNATOR 10-12-2010 05:12 PM

23 for sure, especially the theme, Ladies and Gentlemen. I dunno, it just seemed like such a great way to set the mood for a WrestleMania.

Anybody Thrilla 10-12-2010 07:49 PM

Wrestlemania 24 was my favorite set. It's also the last great Wrestlemania at this point.

"Ladies and Gentleman" for 23 was a great theme. Probably the one that stuck with me the most for some reason. Either that or "My Way".

I liked the set when they went Hollywood too. What was that? 21?

Yep.

Jordan 10-12-2010 09:42 PM

I think the set up is topped every year lately so I can't say my favorite, my favorite logo though is 10, 11, 12, 18, and 19.

What is the best host? I'd have to say Safeco Field in Seattle, loved the look of that place.

James Steele 10-13-2010 12:45 AM

WrestleMania 23 had it all.
