Favorite C-Show?

Of the 3 "C-brand" shows, which one do you think was the best? I choose not to count ECW or NXT since they were technically different shows all together while Heat, Velocity, and Superstars are mostly filler for the crowd (at least these days they are/were)

Xero 10-09-2010 03:46 PM

I'll go with Heat. Had some great moments, especially with Moongoose McQueen and the WWF NY stuff.

Plus you got Halftime Heat and it was the lead in to the PPVs.

Eklipse 10-09-2010 03:48 PM

Heat without a doubt.
I also miss Shotgun Saturday Night. :(

Xero 10-09-2010 03:48 PM

Where else can you see a Tombstone on an escalator?

Eklipse 10-09-2010 03:49 PM

Velocity just wasn't entertaining at all imo.

Xero 10-09-2010 03:51 PM

I thought Velocity was pretty good. It focused more on the lightweights than other shows.

Good point. I think I only watched it a few times, perhaps that is why.

Loved Stevie Richards and Ravens stuff on Heat, remember it being live just before the PPVs aired too, gave it a bit more importance IMO.

I liked Sunday Night Heat, because at the time. circa 1998/99, they always added that extra later to the storyline on heat, just before the Pay Per View. You knew something else was going to happen before the PPV on Heat, back in the day. Thats how I felt anyways, really liked heat at one point.

P.S = You forgot "Livewire".

I would probably buy a "Best of (Sunday Night) Heat" DVD, if it was created.

BizarroKing 10-09-2010 05:55 PM

Are those real?

I always enjoyed Celocity and rarely ever wacthed Heat

Razzamajazz 10-09-2010 07:09 PM

heat came on at a great time as it was a lead in to the simpsons when it was still good, and always had the pre-ppv stuff

Make no mistake about it. NXT IS a "C show." Also - why do you say, "ECW or NXT?"...as if to imply that they are both currently running. ECW no longer exists and was re-branded as NXT. Please choose your words more carefully next time.

Gertner 10-09-2010 07:29 PM

WCW Worldwide was awesome. Heenan and Schiavone did commentary and you could tell Heenan especially didn't care as he'd crack jokes the entire hour.

Aguakate 10-09-2010 09:08 PM

I liked WWF Superstars, the one they did in the 90's. You'd get to see guys like Razor Ramon, Bret Hart and Undertaker wrestle "jobbers" and always win.

Not listed, I also liked WCW Saturday Night. It was cool to turn on the tv on TBS and be able to watch some wrestling on Saturdays.

Jeritron 10-10-2010 01:31 AM

Halftime Heat was the jumpoff

Dude...seriously...
ECW and NXT are different brands, just as raw and sd.
The other shows are somewhat brand specific.
Heat was an important part of the Attitude Era, imo, pre brand split.

Dont nit pick somebody's post like that.
I have yet to see you come up with anything halfway decent.

Not saying that all my posts are gold, but I have yet to pull a dick move like you have.

glanville6 10-10-2010 03:33 AM

I voted for Superstars, it was close to being Heat, though.

Although, if Shotgun Saturday Night or Jakked/Metal was on the poll, that would have gotten my vote.

Shotgun Saturday Night was good...
It was just aired a week behind here...
Dunno about everywhere else.

Triple Naitch 10-10-2010 10:00 PM

WCW Saturday Night was great.

Heat had some great stuff back in the day. There would actually be important title matches on the show that mattered.

Savio 10-10-2010 11:08 PM

You cant really count heat in 1998 because then it was the B show. When SD! came along it then became the C show....that being said it was still better than velocity and superstars.
