Here's another example of Russo and Ed Ferrara's amazing booking. There are tons of examples of what they did wrong, but what are some of the things that you think they did right in late WCW? I will say that they did rejuvenate the cruiserweight division, after tearing it down. I read somewhere that Russo flat out just doesnt like Luchadores and released most of them then Malenko, Jericho and Eddie left. The cruiserweight division did get an overhaul of new talent, 3 Count, Jung Dragons, Elix Skipper, Kid Romeo, Blitzkrieg and the list goes on. |

Like you said 'nothing at all'

To be fair, he did try to push new talent. He just did it all the wrong way.
|
Pushed new in talent in spite of the veterans with power, and in a few cases succeeded. Booker T was a main eventer in WWE because of what Russo did with him.

The division didn't last long after that. The belt traded hands between pieces of shit like "The Artist" Prince Iakeau, a washed up Chris Candido, Lieutentant Loco (Chavo), Elix Skipper and Crowbar and Daffney. The best thing to happen to the belt was when Lance Storm won it along with the Hardcore and US titles. Also, Blitzkrieg was PRE-Russo era, not post. |
Booker T being pushed and Storm renaming all the Titles.... that was about all.....

He gave everyone a storyline and a purpose

Lance Storm's push and the tag team division, just to name a couple.
I actually prefer Russo WCW to Bischoff WCW. |
It's not that Russo doesn't have good ideas, it's just for every good idea he has ten fucking awful ideas.
Lance Storm's push was probably the best thing about WCW's dying days. Kanyon stealing DDP's gimmick was also pretty great. Aside from that there were glimmers of hope here and there, such as Jung Dragons vs 3 Count, but it was mostly garbage. |
- The Insiders: DDP and Kevin Nash; I enjoyed their short teaming
- Lance Storm's push to the triple title and Team Canada... even though it ended with the horrible feud against General E. Rection and his crew - Put the WCW World Title on Chris Benoit (even if it was too late) - Benoit vs. Bret Hart at Mayhem 2000 - Benoit vs. Jeff Jarrett Ladder Match at Starrcade 2000 - The Natural Born Thrillers had their moments, even if they ultimately had no direction. If the NBT had been pushed like Nexus is being pushed now, I think they could've been great. - Mike Awesome's initial push after joining WCW... which morphed into That 70's Guy. - Seeing talent in both of these women: http://www.gerweck.net/misshancock.jpg http://img2.imageshack.us/img2/2429/...illykidman.jpg |

Booker T's main event runs the only thing that springs to mind. |
Say what you will about Russo, at least he gives everybody on the roster something to do. It might be retarded, but at least they have some sort of angle.
