The PRIDE curse

Fighting in front of a UFC crowd is much more "intimidating" than fighting in front of a japanese crowd. You know what I mean? If you are caucasian, you feel "superior" than asians in general, so to them, it's probably easier to fight in front of a bunch of japanese people. They probably feel more self-conscious and feel more pressure performing in front of an American crowd. Plus the fact that the event is live on PPV

You know what I'm trying to say?

Reavant 10-22-2010 06:57 PM

I dont know what youre saying

MoFo 10-22-2010 07:36 PM

Not all PRIDE fighters were Japs tho

Stickman 10-22-2010 08:24 PM

I'm tired of the PRIDE>UFC crap

McLegend 10-22-2010 11:49 PM

Lol maybe the most subtle racist thread of all time.

alvarado52 10-23-2010 06:32 AM

lol, wtf?

Crimson 10-23-2010 02:08 PM

what

Gertner 10-23-2010 03:10 PM

Isn't it hard for Asians to see the crowd....you know....their eyes.......

The Naitch 10-23-2010 03:39 PM

talking about guys like Cro Cop and Rua. They probably feel different fighting in front of an American crowd as opposed to japs :y:

It's like if I was a rapper performing at a club somewhere in Japan. I'd feel at ease I know that, compared to if I had to rock a show in New York. The New York crowd would eat me alive. Gotta lot of pressure with the ladder. Don't tell me it's the same

ALL EYEZ ON ME LIKE TUPAC

Stickman 10-24-2010 11:49 AM

Is getting booed for taking the fight to the ground worse than the fans sitting on their hands all night? Now that's the question.

The Mask 10-24-2010 04:43 PM

pride fighters are just part of another era of mma. it's come on since then. probably doesn't help that ufc rules (or mma rules in america) are geared so heavily towards wrestling though.

Funky Fly 10-25-2010 02:51 PM

yeah. They need a bit of a reworking.
