This is a mistake by Ottawa, it's like the Pens firing Scotty Bowman after the Isles upset them in '93. Scotty lead the Pens to the Prez's Trophy and most points in franchise history that season, the Stanley Cup the previous year, they fire him, goes to Detroit and wins them multiple cups. Pens never reached that level of season success since.

Bad move but like Cheeba said if you lose to the same team each year you almost have to fire the guy.

They only fired him because SOMETHING had to be done. I don't think he should have gotten the axe, but it's always easiest to put the blame on the coach.

they're all group 2 restricted free agents, meaning if anyone makes them an offer Ottawa has the right to match it. Or they will get up to 5 first round draft picks if they go.
