Kenny Dykstra tells TNA no thanks

Ken Doane (formerly WWE’s Kenny Dykstra) tweeted, “nov 8th and 9th i will not be going for my “tryout” in orlando. no offense to any1 but im not comfortable paying my own flights and working for free. that is all. i dont need a job that bad. if WWE calls i’ll go back or if TNA offers something decent. otherwise im absolutely happy where i am in life.”

I have to respect that.

The Naitch 11-02-2010 06:16 PM

Him and Matt Hardy should go spoon along with Gabriel Gonzaga

Rammsteinmad 11-02-2010 06:34 PM

Where is he in life?

CSL 11-02-2010 06:42 PM

He's gonna wind up back in WWE at some point.

The Naitch 11-02-2010 06:42 PM

is he still dating Micky james?

Th3R0CKSays 11-02-2010 07:34 PM

Th3R0ckSays:

Who the hell is this guy? What makes Kenny Dykstra think that he is even worth someone paying for a plane ticket to Orlando, or paying him to wrestle a snoozer match that won't get over with anyone. The guy couldnt get over in the WWE, couldnt draw a Picture, and probably wouldnt get over in TNA . It is his loss, and hell, if he had any sense, he would have taken the tryout for nothing else than to get his name out there again in the hopes that someone in stamford might wan't to resign him to be throwaway talent.

Savio 11-02-2010 07:37 PM

You know I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say "TheRockSays" was not taken and you adding the "3" and the "0" was quite unnecessary.

teamXtremist 11-02-2010 07:45 PM

i agree the guy has talent but if he doesnt want a job oh well

If you're not worth TNA paying for your travel and work then you might as well just give up.

I hope to see Ken Doane back in the WWE in the future. He was the best thing about the Spirit Squad, and I don't see his failed singles run on Smackdown as entirely his fault, but the result of inexperience, really bad writing, and not finding the right character to portray on WWE TV (much like Shelton Benjamin). But he should come back because he's a good wrestler, has a good look and could be a star.

MoFo 11-02-2010 08:10 PM

Average.

Cant imagine theres huge interest in him from any promotion.

Innovator 11-02-2010 08:16 PM

Yeah Doane will be back sooner rather than later probably.

XL 11-02-2010 08:19 PM

It's just refreshing to hear of a guy that isn't desperate to be involved in wrestling (or at least not in TNA) as most ex-WWE guys would give their left nut for a TNA contract/be back in the 'E.

Boondock Saint 11-02-2010 08:23 PM

He was on the the reality show Seducing Cindy last year trying to woo Cindy Margolis and become her husband.

LoL. You would fall off that limb if you went out on it, because therocksays indeed was taken.

Exactly, he's not a big enough star to demand money just so they have a chance to higher him. The way I see it, if he doesnt want to go I'm sure Johnny would love a shot to be back in a major company. Hell, they could bring back Mitch and Mikey as a tag team (Kenny was no better than the other Spirit Squad members that are on the indy circut right now)

SOCCER LEGS 11-02-2010 09:57 PM

dude is 24, he's young enough he can still do whatever the hell he wants with his life, he could go and become a doctor if he set his mind to it.

is anyone really surprised he wouldn't won't to go to that bloated waste of a show?

Mr. Nerfect 11-03-2010 03:25 AM

I always thought Ken Doane could have been a star. It just wasn't the right time in the WWE, and the kid had a lot of growing up to do. I could see him being re-hired by the WWE if he got his shit together. I also miss Johnny Jeter. Mike Mondo was pretty decent, but I felt there were limits on him. Nick Mitchell was just shit.

The Naitch 02-02-2011 07:47 PM

JohnnyWad is the best new poster right now

Nightwing 02-03-2011 06:41 PM

Wow, TNA is a joke. Good for him. He'll be back.

Supreme Olajuwon 02-04-2011 08:21 AM

All I know is when I saw Nicky repackaged for his singles run, I thought he was going to fail horribly. Now he's the best wrestler in America IMO.

So I'm willing to give the Spirit Squad members another chance. Especially a 24 year old kid who was trained by Killer Kowalski.

#BROKEN Hasney 02-04-2011 08:28 AM

Hoping Johnny Jeter gets another shot too. He was gold in OVW before the Spirit Squad thing.

Jura 02-04-2011 02:00 PM

I did not like anyone from Spirit Squad at all. Pretty crazy that Dolph Ziggler came out of that mess.
