Tomorrow night on C-span she will demand a rematch....No DQ

Cool King 11-02-2010 09:06 PM

She had no chance in hell in winning anyway.

What? :shifty:

Savio 11-02-2010 09:08 PM

50 million down the tubes

DLVH84 11-02-2010 09:09 PM

Not necessarily, she did a lot more than just use her near unlimited cash. She should contest for the junior Senator seat when it next opens though and start from there.

But ya- Screw PG!

Aguakate 11-02-2010 09:11 PM

Someone in WWE will get "future endeavored" this week. Vince has got to be pissed.

I actually want to see if they continue the "Stand Up for WWE" campaign. If they don't, it will be obvious that it was all made just to help Linda.

Also...what if, for no other reason than to gain publicity for WWE, Linda is revealed to be the RAW GM?

Yeah, like just overnight. :shifty:

The PG thing is here to stay. It wasn't all about Linda's campaign y'know.

WWE has been PG since, what...2006? It has nothing to do with Linda running for Senate...for the MILLIONTH TIME.

Calamondin 11-02-2010 09:20 PM

Gonna be interesting to see Vince act like a crazy dick on the next raw.

RatedGSuperstar 11-02-2010 09:46 PM

I'm sure $50 million was totally worth the ass-wiping schtick on Raw.

BizarroKing 11-02-2010 09:50 PM

Not so much. The Dems will probably lose control of the HOP, but at least Christine O'Donnell and Linda lost.

Christine's concession speech was the highlight of my night. Good thing I was already three beers deep when it happened or I would have been yelling at the TV screaming "you lost", "shut the fuck up you crazy witch" and "don't tell the person who beat you what to do" and "it's the called the estate tax you c-word," I actually said the last thing to the TV, but I didn't say C-word. :shifty::lol:

RatedGSuperstar 11-02-2010 09:59 PM

If anything, the money lost on this campaign probably ensures WWE stays PG even longer to make it up.

Savio 11-02-2010 09:59 PM

I kinda wish Linda won

FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME...

Actually the PG format began in 2008.

Linda "officially" launched her campaign in 2009, which means she probably had been planning and fund raising for her campaign since at least 2007-08.

And for the record, as of 2010, 60% of the WWE's audience are men 17+, while only 40% of the WWE's audience consists of women and young children. The whole younger target demographic just doesn't hold water.

I'm not saying that Linda's campaign was the ONLY reason for the PG switch, but it likely was a major factor and influence, considering she was CEO for almost the whole first year of the PG era and the previous 11 years prior to resigning to run for senate.

Think critically and connect the dots folks.

Connecting the dots, I come to the conclusion that you have been watching too much "Conspiracy Theories".

I'm thinking critically and connecting the dots and noticing that most of the people wearing the merch is that 40%. WWE doesn't make its money on ticket sales. They make their money on merch. The kids buy the merch, and mom buys the merch for the kids. As a company whose purpose is making money, they're going to market to the segment that's giving them the money. Hence, PG. The senate campaign definitely contributed, but I would say - at best - it is maybe 1/4 of the reason WWE is PG.

SlickyTrickyDamon 11-02-2010 11:09 PM

For what it's worth, I buy my share of The Miz, CM Punk, and Christian gear. I just wish Zack Ryder had some stuff to buy.

loopydate 11-02-2010 11:13 PM

I buy the DVDs and games and stuff, too. There's definitely a large market for the 18+ collectors.

But then look at all the kids in Rey Mysterio masks and Cena hats/t-shirts/wristbands, and you can definitely see who's paying the bills.
